can't access REadyNAS through switch
For several years, we have used our ReadyNAS successfully. Our home PC's (three running Windows 7, one running Windows 8) are connected to it through a Netgear GS116 switch (which is, in turn, connec...

I am suffering from the same problem: was there any resolution found here? (except changing the Ethernet switch)
I have a NETGEAR GS116 Ethernet switch that connects to two ReadyNAS devices.
Some weeks ago without any reason my NAS NV+ showed error on display: "No Network Link".
There was no way to fix it. I though the Ethernet port of my NAS NV+ was broken.
As tested the Ethernet port of the GS116 switch with the same cable worked for portable PC.
Now a couple of days ago my other NAS Pro 6 gave the same error on display: "No Network Link".
I tried different Ethernet ports on the GS116 switch, but without success. Rebooting the GS116 is also not delivering any resolution.
I suspected some Ethernet communication issue:
put a basic 10/100Mbit Ethernet hub in between GS116 and the two NAS (connected to the Ethernet Hub)
and without any problem the two NAS devices connected again:
Showing "Online / 100 Mbit / Full-duplex" via Admin interface and no more error on Display.
There seems to be a sudden problem with the GS116 and there is no Admin GUI or software update for these Ethernet switches.
Does anybody have any clue what could be the problem here?
This case looks very similar...
