test -e /usr/sbin/anacron

Looking inside crontab last night to see how the daily, weekly etc jobs are called, I see that each line has the form:

root test -e /usr/sbin/anacron || nice run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily

I understand the bit after the || but what does the first part do? Is it testing for the presence of a file called anacron? I've done a whereis on this and I don't appear to have one on my NAS at all.

    If the file /usr/bin/anacron does not exist, then it runs the second part (the || indicates that it is a "false" condition)

    I think the premise is that if anacron exists, it is taking care of the periodic scheduling. http://anacron.sourceforge.net/
