Can you access Frontview (web-interface of the ReadyNAS) using a very old version of a web browser e.g. Firefox?
If so, I'd login (http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/what_is_the_frontview_default_login_and_password_after_a_factory_default) and I'd update the firmware to 4.1.8 via Frontview (see http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_4_1_8_Notes). Then after verifying the update completed successfully, I'd do another factory default (e.g. via System > Update > Factory Default) to get a clean setup on the latest firmware.
RAIDiator 3.01c1-p6 was released back in December 2006. So looking at http://www.oldapps.com/firefox.php you should be able to find an old version of Firefox that should work for accessing Frontview.
