First time install of ReadyNAS 316 and having a couple issues
I just received my ReadyNAS 316 and two 6 TB Western Digital Red drives. I followed the installation guide perfectly so far, but I am stumped at the moment. I turned on the unit for the first time (yes, the brand new HDs are installed) and the 316 display is cycling between "Resync data ; ###%" (where ### is actually increasing numbers) and the IP address.
Question #1: What is this resync doing?
Question #2: When I create a ReadyCloud account, the initial install asks me to press OK on the front of the 316 to "secure the ReadyNAS on the network". However, I have tried this many times and nothing happens! Is this because it is stilling "resyncing" (whatever that means)?

1. Syncing the disks sector by sector to setup the RAID.
2. Pressing the O.K. button is to confirm that you have physical access to the box. Once that is clicked the ReadyCLOUD account should be linked with your box.Thank you for your reply. So that takes care of #1, but #2 is an issue. The OK button on the front panel of my 316 is lit up (light purple) along with the direction arrow/ring around it and the NETGEAR logo; however, when I touch "OK" nothing happens (the LED on the ReadyNAS 316 says "Touch OK", but no matter how often I touch it, nothing happens). Am I missing something fundamental here?
I have created a video to show exactly what I am talking about. Here is a link to it.
That link will take a few moments to load... sorry.

Which firmware is the unit running?
Perhaps try again once the sync completes?
