Replacement RMA arrived today with grossness lurking inside.
Received a replacement RMA unit for my Readynas Pro with a failing Power Supply (Shipped from TN address from Tracelogix). Netgear sent me a dirty dust caked unit that smells like cigarettes. yikes.

Support agreed to exchange their dirty unit with another. I would have preferred to just put the advanced RMA money towards a new power supply had I known it's a lottery.
Has anyone else had replacement units arrive in this type condition?

- beisser1Tutornope not seen something like that myself yet.
rma replacement units can be either brand new (getting less likely since the units are no longer beeing manufactured) or refurbished units from the factory (most likely).
i dont think they are supposed to looke like that though.
i hope the next one you get is in better shape than that. - chirpaLuminaryThat is a Grade B refurb. Its functional, but not pretty.
- jugalbandiAspirantIs it Netgear's practice to send RMA replacement unit and close the case? or will they ship back my original hardware after repair. Currently I am in the process of deciding on the RMA options.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThey will send a RMA replacement. If you are not happy with the condition of the replacement unit send some photos to support for them to evaluate.
