7300 extender will not allow login of router credentials

Hello All, I need some help , here is my problem . I am able to login online to my router , but i cannot access my extender online . Only through the nighthawk app. Once in the app ,it asked me to login to my router to access the extneder. However it is not accepting my user or password for my router to login. what is going on an dhow can this be corrected ? please let me know if you have an answer to my problem,
