Model EX7300v2
I am not super technical, but normally I am pretty good with most things.
I have just purchased this new WifFi Mesh Extender to replace a rather old range extender that had packed up on me.
This is supposed to take minutes to set up, but the combination between the Quick Start instructions and the App - nothing seems to be working.
The app won't find the extender. The extender won't connect to my router. One thing says to connect with the ethernet - another one says just use the wps button.
I am completely at a loss and would be so grateful if anyone in this community could give me the idiots, step by step guide to the set up.
I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but I cannot get it up and running.
Thank you in advance for any help.

What router are you connecting it to?
I'd highly recommend using the installation assistant.
What I'd do is start over. Factory reset it by pushing and holding reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
the lights should flash/change when you've held it long enough. Then follow the installation assistant guide.
here's a video of how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJVklshxBMk
If that doesn't work, new devices come with 90 days of free support.
To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process.
