Hi, we have this wifi extender which has 2.4Gb and 5Gb networks set up on it - the device is in the same room as the wifi router and shows green lights when connected to either network, but the connection is really poor on both, and a lot weaker than the original network on its own's strength. It also drops out often too.
Any recommendations or thoughts as to what might be happening? Any help is most welcomed!
3. Have you tried changing channels for 2.4ghz and 5ghz? there might be interference
4. What actual speeds do you get from 2.4ghz and 5gh?
5. you won't see the same speeds as the router. single/dual band extender cut throughput on devices connected to them by 50%. this happens because they have to use the same chip to go router---extender and then extender-----device and can't do both at once.
