EX2700 to HITRON connetion problem

EX2700 to HITRON connetion problem

I've been using the N300 wifi exterder for about 2 month. In the beginning, everything worked out perfect but about 2 weeks ago when I start to have problems with the internet connection on the "download" side on every device (TV, Cellphone, Laptop). 

 

Runing speed test from time to time I get the correct donwload speed. But almost 9 from 10 times I get .5 mpbs. (Please see speed test.jpg).

I've reset the device to factory several times but I could not get a better performance.

 

I've also run some other test. 

 

1- Use my Windows 10 Laptop as Extender. (No Hitron Connection problem)

2- Use a Phone as a router and connect the N300 as extender (Works ok)

 

Please note that I've use Wifi Analytics to set up the best place to put the extender getting up to 96%.

When I first install the N300 I did upgrade to the latest version available then. Today I've ungraded to the latest version. 1.0.1.52.

Did the problem begin when you upgraded the firmware?  Or was it happening before then?

Nop, after the first firmware upgrade (upon instalation) the extender worked fine for 3 or 4 weeks.

Ok, but were you seeing the download problem before you upgraded to 1.0.1.52?

Yes.

You do get 90 days of courtesy technical support from Netgear (via my.netgear.com), so you might want to use that.

 

If you didn't reboot the router, you might try that next.

The router it's working fine. Now I'm using a Notebook HP (Win10) as a repeater.

 

Do I have to report this as an issue in the netgear website?.

Since you still are in the 90 day support window, that would be the best way.  Register the extender and upload the proof of purchase at my.netgear.com if you haven't already.  Then contact support through my.netgear.com.
