EX6150/AC1200 WiFi range extender

Everything was working great after I set it up theEX6150/AC1200 WiFi range extender.  via WPS button on my router. This was 2 months ago. All of I sudden I can only connect with 5G.  2G connects for a second and then disconnects.  I need to use 2G in the further reaches of the range.  I restored factory settings with same results.  I again restored factory settings and did set up with the Netgear Genie.  Same results.  Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried the fastlane settings and make the extender only broadcast the 2.4ghz?

Thanks.  Problem seems to be solved.  There was an update when I opened www.mywifiext.net.  I unchecked 5Gbut I still can connect with 5G  I can even toggle between the 2 bands.
