EX7000 Extender as Mesh Network Access Point
I am currently using an R7000 router with an EX7000 extender. Up until a few weeks ago I had them setup as separate wifi names but after reading about the new firmware updates I did the updates and set the EX7000 into MESH mode. I can not connect devices to either device and it works great until you move closer to the other device. It appears it's not allowing devices to switch from one access point to the other without manually turning off wifi on the device then reconnecting to the nearest access point. How do I resolve this issue?

Re: EX7000 Extender as Mesh Network Access Point
Lots of folks are struggling with the 1.0.1.78 firmware. I suggest downgrading back to 1.0.0.66 and see if that resolves your issues. https://kb.netgear.com/000059563/EX7000-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-66

Is MESH still available if I go back to that firmware?

No. But a mesh that doesn't work correctly isn't of much use to you.
Many users here have gone back to that firmware for now (until Netgear solves the problems with 1.0.1.78).
