EX7700 - Does it have to be MESH..?
Hi. I have an Orbi mesh network and some IP cameras that just connect randomly to any available node... even if it's the weakest signal.
I want to add an extender as a distinct, separate network so that I can connect the cameras to this network exclusively. I get that this extender may still wander nodes but rebooting that is easier than rebooting hard wired cameras.
So, my question is, can I set the EX7700 up as a separate network or does it have to act as an extension of the Orbi mesh network?
Thanks.

you can set it up as a seperate network. Either by running it in hardwired ap mode or by running it in extender mode without using the mesh setup.

That's great. Thank you.
It'll be used wirelessly but as long as I don't have to use the mesh option, that should be great.

Are there any instructions or a guide as to how to do this? I stupidly assumed it would be pretty obvious but I'm at a loss right now.
I downloaded the Nighthawk iphone app to set it up. The main router is a Netgear ORBI.
The app guides me through set-up but I cant see any way of extending the wireless network with a seperate network name. It's just replicated the existing network name.
