How do i get AC750 Netgear range extender to accept the WPS on my spectrum router?

I was trying to set up the AC750 wifi range extender yesterday and pressing the WPS buttons on both the router and the range extender, but the WPS light on the extender didnt turn on.

try installing the extender using the installation assistant. I'm not a huge fan of WPS on isp supplied routers as half the time they're poorly coded.
