This model not supported by Nighthawk app. Have conected to smart tv but unable to connect to modem.

There is no FX3110 but only a EX3110 which is an extender. The app only supports routers

Assume your Modem is more than a plain Modem, and includes a WiFi Router with a built-in Wireless Access Point - this is where you connect the extender to wirelessly.
