Multiple repeaters and different SSIDs
Hi,
I have a netgear wifi router and two repeaters in a large house.
One R7000
One EX7000
One WN1000RP
The R7000 and EX7000 are dual band and WN1000RP is single band. The system works OK, but now I have 5 different wifi networks (3 @ 2.4GHz and 2 @ 5GHz) and it's hard to keep track and manually switch between them when the signal is low.
Is there a way to have only one SSID and have the routers switch from one to the other when needed?

Re: Multiple repeaters and different SSIDs
Hi edlee,
It's possible to change some of the SSID's to be the same. The EX7000 may not let you have the same SSID for both the 2.4 and 5ghz. Only one can be the same name as your router's SSID.
The set up you described may not work the way you like. Roaming between connections is a feature more common in business products and not the home products.
