I want to connect a smart power plug that only uses 2.4 GHz.
can I somehow select the 2.4 GHz to use this Smart Plug.

Once its connected it usually doesn't have problems. you can go into advanced-wireless settings and turn down the 5ghz radio strength. I usually do this for getting device connected and then crank it back up.
