Orbi blocks internet acces
I have installed the ORBI range extender. But when I try to use the ORBI16 network it creates, I cannot access any website (https and http). I always get the message that the line is not private and that there is a security problem with the website I am trying to acces (even CNN.com). This happens with Chrome, IE11 and Bing. I use Windows 10.
What is worse is the fact that ORBI messes up my computer and that I have no internet access even when I return to my old (weak) network. Even on my old network I still get the same error message.
To regain internet access I have to reboot the computer and go directly to my old network.
What can I do ?

If you're old network is up and running, you're in a double nat. You shouldn't run 2 routers running in router mode on 1 network.
its called a doulbe nat https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
you can put your old modem/router device in modem only/pass through mode or you could put the orbi in access point mode.

Thanks, but I am very surprised. I moved a few months ago. In my previous house I had used a number of range extenders (the last ones were those from Google) and always had the two networks running in parallel. I was springing from one to the other depending on the strength of the network in the various parts of the house. Unfortunately, I was too generous and I left my three Goggle units to the people who bought our house. Amazon does not sell them anymore and I bought the Orbi. I never had a problem with the Google system. I was always in "double nat" without any problem.
I cannot put the router/modem from my ISP in modem only, as in another part of the apartment (it is long) I need the old network.
How do I put the Orbi network or system in "access point mode" ?
Thanks,
FC

Each router maker has their own firmware/software. Maybe googles self disables dhcp if it detects another router already running.
