WN300
I just bought a netgear wifi range extender N300 that doesn't talk to my netgear router - DGND3700v2. It is going back tomorrow unless some magician can get them to talk to each other and do what they're meant to do.
I just registered the product to get support but when I ask for support it says this serial number is already registered. WTF
when I try http://mywifiext.net/I just get the page that says 'You are not connected to your extender's WiFi network. FUNNILY ENOUGH I KNOW THAT. But I don't know how to start again and fix it.
any magicians out there?

Re: WN300
N300 is an indication of speed, not model. It looks like your model is a WN3000RPv3.
Try resetting the extender again. Don't use the WPS setup method. Instead look for the client extender network in your client (ideally a PC). It should be called NETGEAR_EXT.
After joining that network, you can go to http://mywifiext.net. The setup procedure is described on page 12 of the user guide ("connect with web browser setup"). http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WN3000RPV3/WN3000RPv3_UM_25Aug2015.pdf

Re: WN300
cheers Stephen. I tried all that but the webpage wouldn't let me try again, having failed to connect. So I've taken the thing back and I'll get something completely different (ie not Netgear) when I can face going through the rigmarole again.
