WNI000RP connection problems
I have spent a few hours trying to get my range extender hooked up. The device worked fine until I switched from optimum to Fios.
I have tried to set it up through wps, through the genie as well as the advanced mode.
With the genie it goes through all the steps perfectly, until the last step....and will not hook up. I have done a factory reset (multiple times) I have power cycled the extender and the router. Router is a Verizon Fios G1100.
I have tried lowering the security settings to see if that helped.
Thank you for any help you can lend.

Re: WNI000RP connection problems
Hi loria1,
Were you able to factory reset the WN1000RP?
Please see page 31 of 35 - http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WN1000RP/WN1000RP_UM_20Feb2013.pdf
When running the set up, try placing the extender right next to the router.
Please be sure to disconnect the WN1000RP ethernet cable from the router.

Re: WNI000RP connection problems
Thank you for the reply.
I had stated that I did a factory reset multiple times.
There is no ethernet cable/ port on the WN1000RP.

Re: WNI000RP connection problems
During the setup, please confirm that the box is checkmarked for
"Use the same security mode and password as those for the existing network"
When you reach the final page, please make sure to re-connect your device to the new WN1000RP wireless network
Linked is more information and troubleshooting on the WN1000RP
