Why is my router not allowing sites?

Why is my router not allowing sites?

In short, I can't access the Steam app, Vortex app, or even go to mywifiext, net becuz it says I have no internet but I clearly do since other sites and apps work. I never had these issues until I started using my router, and I'm really annoyed since I can't easily access my games or mods to update them or download new ones.

We need a few more details.

1. what router do you have?

2. are you using an extender? you posted in the extender forum and the mywifiext is for extenders. If so, what extender?

3. What firmware is on the extender?

4. Firmware on router?

5. Is it the connection to the extender having issues or the router?

Re: Why is my router not allowing sites?

I think its an extender? My roommate gave it to me when I moved my pc into my room from the living room cuz the wifi didnt connect, it says AC750 Wifi Range Extender Model EX3110 on the back. It's just like a cube thing. I don't know what firmware is, but I can try to find out.

Re: Why is my router not allowing sites?

EX3110 is an extender.

what router is it connected to?

Did you set it up using wps or using the installation assistant?

If WPS, factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.

To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.

Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

Re: Why is my router not allowing sites?

That is how I originally set it up, and we have a cox router. I'm thinking of buying a brand new extender next time I get paid cuz this one is giving me more trouble than it's worth at this point.

If you're looking for a new extender, I'd look at the tri-band versions. they have a dedicated backhaul and this makes them much faster and with lower latency.
