Wireless AC Adapter and WIFI Range Extender giving wifi_ext_ext label
We have a tower computer that had an Ethernet connection to the router. That connection went bad, presumably by rodent chewing on cable, so we set up a WiFi connection to the WiFi we now have in the office. It had been working okay. This past weekend the power went out with the severe storms that rolled through and now we cannot get this computer to re-connect to the wifi. We started with a WiFi named AHRwifi916. When we put in the Wireless AC Adapter we had a very low level of connection. So we got the WiFi Range Extender and that bumped everything up to AHRwifi_EXT. That all worked okay till today. Now we have AHRwifi_ext_ext, and we cannot get rid of it, and the other WiFi's are no longer listed. We have tried removing and re-installing. None of it has worked. The WiFI / Ethernet is still present and working for the other computers. Any ideas of where to start with this would be appreciated. Fred

when you have a 2nd_ext, and "the other wifi's are no longer listed" it makes me suspicious of if something was corrupted in your setup.
I'd factory reset everything (router and extender) and start back as square 1.
What router do you have?
What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
What extender do you have?
What wireless card/usb device did you install in the computer?
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with.
