r7000 connected to EX7000- almost no download speed from EX

I have an r7000 router that is hardwired to my modem and broadcasting wifi in both 5.0 and 2.4. Average download speeds of 60+mb/s. I have then connected my ex7000 using fastlane. EX7000 connects to r7000 using 5.0 band. EX7000 then broadcasts in 2.4 band. The problem is that I am only getting an average download speed of 10mb/s or less when connected to the ex7000.
mywifiext.net status for the ex7000 shows a connection strength of 1300mb/s
Could anybody offer suggestions for how I can improve the download speed coming out of my extender, so that they reflect the speed of the router? I live in a 4000+ sq ft house. Router is upstairs, extender is downstairs. No more then 25 feet apart.

Have you tried disabling Fastlane? If the EX7000 is connecting at 1300 Mbps, then there is more than enough spare bandwidth to share the 5 GHz band with clients.

Re: r7000 connected to EX7000- almost no download speed from EX
So I had tried turning fast lane off before, and I was still having issues. But because you suggested it, I figured I would try it again. Now I'm getting the full 60 mb/s transfer speed off the 5.0 network. So thank you. I will leave it like this and see if it returns to low speeds again or not.
I was using fastlane, because I wanted to maximize the output of the repeater, as it has my PS4, and gaming computer connected to it.
