wn 2000 rptv2 error message saying password is not correct on _ext ssid.
When I enter the correct wifi password from my xfinity home network, (16 digits long) I get an error message saying the password is incorrect. When I connect via the regular ssid (without the _ext) it works fine. I cannot connect to the _ext ssid to logon and try to use the genie.

Does the xfinity password use simple alphanumeric characters or are there other symbolic characters used also? Would you mind posting the password here?

There are only alphanumeric characters used in the password.

Is this a first time setup for the WN2000RPTv2?
When setting up the extender to connect to your router, is the security option matching the one being used on your router? (e.g. WPA2)

No this is not the first setup I have changed the network name. New carrier.
I cannot access the NETGEAR device to see about the security because I cannot enter the password.
Is there a limit to the length of the password? My new device has a 16 character passwrod name.

Please reset your WN2000RPTv2 back to factory defaults, see page 28 of 33:
