New to this stuff Have run DNS resolution tests on 2 computers on same router one says using internal dns 192.168.1.1 & the other a level3 communications server 4.2.2.1 resolvers.level3.net
The internal is faster 1? - why different for the 2 computers - both hardwired to router? 2? can this be changed for the slower unit 4.2.2.1?
The slower unit is actually a faster computer but often delivers webpages slow or not at all 3? Whats going on ?

Whoops ! Turns out during a tech mainteanace activity the DNS search was converted from automatic to manual with 4.2.2.1 as IP . Not sure if this was the cause of delays but highly likely

You may go to the command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter.

Yes seems better - never was a router problem - choice was wrong in the offending computer
