So, I just got the Netgear A6210 network adapter for Christmas because I was having problems with my old one and it works great but the only problem is I'm getting internet drops randomly for like a second or two and then it comes back. It's hardly noticeable when browsing the net, but when it comes to gaming it can be really frustrating. I have already looked up if anyone else has had a problem with this but have seen nothing. I should note the drivers are updated and I am running the adapter on Windows 8.1. I'm not entirely sure if it's my computer or the adapter, I'm just assuming it's the adapter as the last one I had didn't have this issue. If anyone knows anything that could help I could really use it, thanks.55KViews1like45CommentsA6210 operating @ High Speed (USB 2.0)
I've installed A6210 using the standalone Windows 7 driver, and on every boot I receive the W7 message informing me that the device will perform faster when using a SuperSpeed (USB 3.0) port. It is attached to a USB 3.0 port, but on running USBTreeView, I found it to be registered under one of the EHCI hubs and running at USB 2.0 speed. I have two other USB 3.0 capable devices, a flash drive and a drive dock, both of which, when attached, are registered to the USB 3.0 hub and run at SuperSpeed (&, naturally, no W7 message telling me they can perform better etc.) I've tried all three devices in all USB 3.0 ports, both front panel and rear m/b ports, and the A6210 is the only device not running at SuperSpeed. o/s: Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 auto-updated m/b: GA-Z87-HD3 (Gigabyte) bios: AMI F6 (last to address USB issues) usb: Intel XHCI & Root Hub On another PC, with an Asus board & NEC/Renesas drivers, the A6210 runs @ SuperSpeed. Any ideas would be appreciated.Solved68KViews0likes42CommentsEvent 10400: A6200
Hello all, I have trawled Google, tried alternate drivers ranging from signed Netgear Beta drivers to BSOD-causing chipset manufacturer drivers. After hunting down several errors in my event log, one still persists among all else. Event 10400, NDIS The network interface "NETGEAR A6200 WiFi Adapter" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset. This network interface has reset 4909 time(s) since it was last initialized. This was merely leaving the wireless adapter attached to my computer overnight. The only way that I can fix the problem of intermittent connection issues is by unplugging the adapter and plugging the adapter back in, because it's a crapshoot whether the driver will restart on its own and regain connectivity. It's baffling that the device worked with Windows 7, then I update to Windows 10 and suddenly with a new driver it goes straight down the drain in terms of performance: - Disconnects at random - No networks shown - Can only remedy quickly by unplugging and reconnecting the device Any thoughts? Oh, you can get my DxDiag information here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbq5wdg48h1thqi/DxDiag.txt?dl=0 A copy of the event is here (device reset counter still rising): https://www.dropbox.com/s/qnk3xo4ni9zfq4f/Event%2010400.txt?dl=013KViews0likes20CommentsSteam downloads corrupt?! Hi All, Thanks in advance for my issue. I just purchased A6210 and has been trying to install it for hours without success. The issue is genie will not detect the adapter at all. When I check under device manager, the driver does appear to be installed. but the status is as below: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful. I have tried to remove/install again and again, restarting computer in between, clean registry, etc. Nothing has worked. Can anyone please give me any suggestions? Is this adapter faulty?? Thanks, Anthony18KViews0likes5CommentsA6210 not supported with Windows 8.1
After several times being hung up on, including while waiting to speak to a supervisor, this is what I've been told. Netgear hardware: R8000 router, E7000 range extender, A6210 wireless adapter I purchased an A6210 6 weeks ago to run on my Windows 8.1 desktop and have had multiple problems - connecting to a R8000 router, when I try to use 5G, the adapter disconnects and does not find any networks until I reboot my system. 2G seemed to be ok most of the time, but throughput would suffer greatly any time I tried to connect 5G and move back to 2G - wouldn't recover till I booted. So, I filed a support case (25255972) and received instructions on uninstall/install of drivers and device - even though I was already running the current drivers. Did this - sort of - the install would never complete. So, I called support and as soon as I mentioned I was running 8.1, I was told it was a problem with my machine(that they had many people with the same problem with both Windows 8 and 8.1) and "we" would have to change configuration settings - but ONLY if I signed up for a paid support package. Anyone else having the same issues? Maybe another vendor is in order if this is the treatment good customers get.Solved12KViews0likes8CommentsA6200 adapter stopped working
Hello, First, my system specs: http://pastebin.com/Kdf7871e My problem: As the title says, my adapter stopped working (after roughly 8 months of faithful services). Friday evening, I had a message from Windows (8.1), asking me to reboot to finish the installation of some updates. Upon reboot, my adapter wasn't working, but I managed to repair the connection by disabling and re-enabling the adapter in Device manager. Then I tried to install another update, it failed, I rebooted, and voilà, no more internet connection. So, I tried uninstalling the drivers, re-install the lastest version (.35 - standalone). Still not working. I uninstalled the driver, I used Ccleaner to clean my registry, I reinstalled the 0.26 version (standalone) of the driver, no luck. I brought the adapter to another Windows 8.1 machine (AMD based, this one though), installed the 0.35 drivers and it worked fine on the first attempt. This machine also has all the latests Windows updates installed. So, tried something more. Reinstalled all up-to-date drivers on my machine, still no luck. I uninstalled the Netgear drivers, then I used Revo Uninstaller Pro to reinstall them, so it could monitor the install, then used the uninstall function to help me purge the registry. Then I reinstalled the 0.35 drivers. No luck. And then I decided it was time to be a man, admit I am baffled and cry for help ;) If I got into the Device manager, there's yellow triangle next to my adapter and the error message when I right-click properties: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful. So far the only thing I haven't tried is to uninstall all the latests Windows Updates... I'll do it if there's no other solution, but I thought that maybe there was some cleaning utility, akin to the ones used for video card drivers, that I could use? Thanks for the help,14KViews0likes3CommentsHow to change on a Netgear A6200 USB WiFi adapter, the region setting from US to Europe ?
