Every 30-40 minutes or so, my A6210 wireless adapter is connected to the router, but not the Internet. This is for around 2-3 minutes before the adapter connects back to the Internet. How do I fix this issue? I constantly get disconnected from any online games I'm in and it sucks. During this 2-3 minute period, the Internet on my other devices works fine, but not on this PC. I'm also using WIndows 10 and have the latest firmware of Netgear Genie, 1.0.0.34.Solved26KViews0likes6CommentsMy A6210 adapter stopped working!
I had this adapter for a few months. It has been running on my windows 10 operated computer all the time. Sometimes I had trouble connecting, but it always turned out great. Then when I turned the computer on, it refused to work. I had been on the computer today, played a few games, spoke with my buddy via skype. Turned the computer off, and went outside for a couple of hours. When I returned, and turned the computer on, it didn't have internet. It refused to connect. I don't know why. I have tried restarting my computer. I tried switching USB ports, trying different cabels, testing my extention cabel, tried the adapter directly into a USB port. Nothing. I tried reinstalling the software, and updating the drivers - nothing. I downloaded the Netgear Genie app too, still nothing. I tried various things, and it doesn't work.Solved24KViews0likes2CommentsNETGEAR A6210 WiFi USB3.0 Adapter Connection Speed Still 54Mb/s Argggh!
I have installed software version 1.0.0.36 as recommended on this forum, I have set the USB Speed to 3.0 in the Advanced tab, I have disabled the NetgearUSBSwitch process from Start-up, and probably a few other things too which escape me at this hour, but I still only get a slow 54Mb/s connection speed. After the installation of the software v1.0.0.36 the connection speed did go up to 144Mb/s and all was good, but the next start up of my PC and all back as it was. Any suggestion would be gratefully received as I'm just about to purchase another manufacturers Wi-Fi Adapter. Thanks in advance.Solved11KViews0likes5CommentsSteam Downloads keep failing
Since installing my a6210 wifi adapter I have been having issues dowloading games on Steam. The downloads start and only go on for a few seconds before I recieve a message saying the dowload is corrupt. I have seen several posts saying plugging it direclty in my PC will fix this, but it doesn't. I have also tried several other supposed fixes and none have worked. So far I am extremely dissapointed in this product and see it as a waste of £50.8.9KViews0likes5CommentsA6210 findet Router nicht

Although I don't recall any firmware/dll updates, my A6210.EXE App has been recently running at 30-50% of CPU consistently (no breaks less than 20% ever). Was there a recent software release which made this happen? My poor CPU is so busy the fan is always on high, and it's really cramping my gaming.... HELP - is there a solution? Wait for the next release to fix it?Solved7.1KViews0likes1CommentA6210 Software Version 1.0.0.36 Disconnections
Hi Again So I've updated Windows and decided to try .36 after the disaster that was .35 Good news the driver solved all the issues that I had with .35 Bad news is that I keep having issues with limited connectivity/ disconnections to the internet. - Its not linked to heavy downloads even everday browsing has caused me issues - I updated all my drivers etc and checked again with slimdriver that a member recommended - Still having issues with the connection So I have uninstalled Genie again along with the .36 driver and am using the driver that comes with Win 10. The driver that comes with Windows is not perfect (It struggles to connect on start up) however the connection appears more robust than that of the netgear one. mrsqueezy6.8KViews0likes9CommentsA6210 Poor experience
Hi Everyone, Going to be honest here I am really dissapointed in this product and seems a lot of other people are based on the forums results of the A6210. Firstly on the previous version of the drivers with Windows 10 x64 the drivers would never detect from NetGear and Windows would install its own drivers. No matter how many times I did the reinstall, remove, delete, add. When they were working on the Windows drivers large downloads would fail randomly. Classic example "Origin" game client trying to update coudn't so it was stuck in off line mode. Downloading ISO would "always fail". Then only recently NetGear released a new updated version of their driver that now works with Windows 10. I was excited to give this shot and the drivers work straight away from W10 w/ Build 1703. Sadly the downoads will keep dropping out. I have been trying to download a ISO from Vmware for the last 4 hours and having to keep "re-trying" after every failure. I had to take my PC up stairs and connect the ethernet cable to get this to actually work. I have tried enabling Max USB Speed 3.0 (I have a intel chipest with C220 controller series 8)), PMF is off. The odd thing is the average response time to my router is under 1ms with a max od 3ms and 0% packet loss. The only other thing I can think of trying now is switching to the Mediatek drivers as NetGear are only OEMing their dongles from these guys. Any other tips people have come accross that might work would be appreciated. + Current Driver Version: 5.1.29.0 (15/09/2016) NetGear. + USB Root and USB 3.0 and USB Wireless Adapters all have power management set to disable. + Latest chipset drivers from intel installed Thanks,6.2KViews1like7CommentsA6210 Upgrade Failure
Products: A6210 WiFi Adapter Neatgear A6210 Genie The Netgear upgrade process failed and I am unable to perform a "manual" upgrade. The consequence is that the Netgear A6210 Genie no longer works, and I am unable to get it to work. Initial symptoms: I received and automated Netgear Genie prompt advising that a later version of the software (or firmware, I can't be certain) was available, and asking me if I wanted to upgrade. I replied "OK" and followed the steps. During the installation cycle, I received the following prompt: I checked for the target folder contained in the "Use source" box above and it does not exist. There are two folders with "NETGEAR A6210 Genie.msi" files on my system: C:\Windows\Downloaded Installations\{2BCF486D-314D-4C87-83F8-56BB24617141} C:\Windows\Downloaded Installations\{D7C2F4A3-B5BD-464A-A453-DE7B3D911FDF} I used "Browse…" to navigate to these files. In both cases, I received a prompt [along the lines of ] "the older version file is not valid…" I searched my system for any other instances of "NETGEAR A6210 Genie.msi". These are the only two. So… the upgrade failed and now the Genie will no longer run. Next Steps 1: I attempted to complete a "manual" upgrade. I downloaded "A6210_v1.0.0.34.zip" and followed the installation process. One of the step in that process is: To properly install adapter software, please remove drivers that were previously installed. To uninstall, go to Start > Programs > NETGEAR A6210 > Uninstall NETGEAR A6210 . I followed this step and now get: Next Steps 2: On the off chance the above message is spurious and the uninstall actually worked, I have attempted to install the upgrade. It repeats the symptoms described under Initial symptoms (above). Current Status: Netgear Genie not working and any attempt to upgrade/fix fails.6KViews0likes3Comments
