Regarding LB2120-100UKS. The Network selection and Data connection options are far too limited to provide any real use from the device. We require the ability to manually select not only the type of Cellular Base Station (3G/4G), but also the particular band/ frequency of the required base station. This is mandatory for our particular application, as in our location we get very poor, unacceptable download speeds when connected to base stations operating on LTE band 20, while we receive an adequate, acceptable download speed when connected to a base station which uses LTE band 3. See following link for a close approximation of what we require. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Mobile-Routers-Hotspots-Modems/Nighthawk-M1-selection-of-LTE-Frequency-Band/m-p/1547202/highlight/true#M5510 In fact a better implementation of the required function would also allow for any/ all individual band/ bands to be enabled or disabled, so that automatic selection could occur between the enabled bands, see following picture.6.8KViews6likes7Comments[LB2120 successor] - Add a table that shows the signal quality/strength of all bands
Hello Add a table that shows the signal quality/strength of all bands, and not only the one selected by the modem. It gives us some information about the available signals in the area. That information is useful if you want to choose the right external antenna (multi-band vs single-band) Add a manual mode that allow us to force the modem to use a specific band (ex: 800Mhz vs 1800Mhz).2.9KViews5likes0CommentsPlease add full support for IPv6 in MR2100 – Nighthawk M2 Mobile Router
Hi My ISP provides CGNAT IPv4 and IPv6 but since the MR2100 does not fully support IPv6 it is wasted. Please add all the IPv6 features that are available in your other full-featured routers. Model: MR2100 Firmware Version: NTGX24_10.17.08.00 Firmware Build Date: 2020/08/21 Thanks,251Views2likes0Comments[LB2120 successor] - Add a list of preferred cell IDs to which the modem tries to connect first
Hello Add a list of preferred cell IDs/tower to which the modem tries to connect first (entries are added manually by the user). My LB1111 after startup connects automatically to a nearby tower which delivers very bad throughput, until the modem realizes 15 minutes later that the tower a little bit further is 10x more performant…I understand that the modem picks the cell with the best signal strength at first, but it’s not always the one which provides the best usable bandwidth.2.6KViews2likes0CommentsNighthawh M6 Pro SMS send feature request
Dear Netgear Dev Team, I hope you’re doing well! I’m writing to share some feedback and request a feature enhancement for the Nighthawk M6 Pro mobile router (on the latest firmware as of now - NTGX65_12.01.54.00). First of all, I want to express how pleased I am with the device — it’s very well-built, reliable, and offers excellent connectivity options for staying online while traveling. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into its design and functionalit That being said, I’ve noticed that the device currently lacks one key feature that is essential for my needs: the ability to send SMS messages. Allow me to explain why this feature is important to me. My mobile operator provides high-speed internet up to a daily limit of 10 GB. After reaching this limit, the connection speed drops dramatically to 64 Kbps, which effectively renders internet access unusable on modern devices. To continue enjoying high-speed access, I must send an SMS to a short service number provided by my operator, which then grants me an additional 10 GB. Without the ability to send SMS from the router, I’m unable to extend my high-speed access easily and have to switch SIM cards between devices or find other inconvenient workarounds. I completely understand that integrating new features into the user interface can take time. As an experienced user, I would even be perfectly satisfied if this functionality were initially made available through an API or command-line access — any way to programmatically send SMS messages from the device would be immensely helpful. Thank you very much for considering my request! I believe that adding this feature would significantly enhance the user experience for people like me who rely on mobile data extensively. I’m happy to provide any additional information or feedback if needed. Wishing you continued success with this great product!
