I am looking to buy a used rbs40v to ne added as the 3rd satellite in my existing rbk23 mesh, but I Noticed that on the support site, the most recent fw version for rbs40v is 2.6.2.8, but my rbr20 and rbs20 run 2.7.4.24 as the most recent version. Back in the days when I Do I need to downgrade my rbr20 and rbs20 to 2.6.2.104 (the only 2.6.2.x series) and stay in that edition forever in order to add the rbs40v? Or can this rbs40v be upgraded to 2.7.4.24 like its regular cousin (rbs40 without the alexa)? Thanks a lot.SolvedFirmware Update Nightmares - The Never Ending Saga...
It's been almost 1 year since my Orbi has been unplugged, serving as a $400 brick in the corner of my shelf, still staring at my Orbi everyday, as a reminder that this company wasted $400 (plus tax) of my hard earned money. Part of me wants to cry, and the other part of me silent, angered, betrayed a company could ever do this to its customers. I have moved on to the Netgear XR500 Gaming Router ($300) the past year. A decision I don't regret as the brand is still Netgear. Let the stories begin...SolvedOrbi RBE960 with 4 Satellites
Good evening all, I intend to buy an ORBI RBE 960 with 3 satellites in order to cover the entire house (4000 Sq ft). I just have one question: do the satellites connect to each other wireless as the distance from the router to all satellites would be too far to get a correct connection. Router to Satellite 1 then Satellite 2 to Satellite 1 and then Satellite 3 to satellite 2, this all in wireless. Thank you very muchOrbi AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System compatible with which Netgear Outdoor extender?
We have a home that has the Orbi AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System installed. We need an outdoor wireless extender that can work with that system. And, we cannot run any cabling, except to plug in the power for the outdoor device. What extender would be compatible with the Orbi AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System? On an older Orbi system we used the AC3000 Mesh WiFi Range Extender (RBS50Y) and it worked great. Now that we've upgraded we're unsure of what to use. TIA -- SueSolvedIs an upgrade in order
I currently have the ORBI AC3000 (RBK53) and it has been in operation for the past 3 years. I wonder if it would make sense to upgrade to something like the ORBI AX5400 (RBK763)? I just recently reconfigured the RBK53 from all AP (Access Points) to a router and the two satellites. My Cisco router and firewall was quite old and I could not get any updates as it is no longer available, hence, the redoing the ORBI configuration. I have about 35 devices on the network and the RBK763 provides greater square footage coverage. Any thoughts DonOrbi AX4200 Satellite with AX5400 router?
I have 2 Orbi AX4200 satellites (RBS752). Can I buy the Orbi AX5400 (RBK763s - with a router and 2 satellites) and also use my existing satellites for a ”larger” mesh network? So the short question is, are these two different Orbi-versions compatible and able to create a mesh network?
