Hi everyone, I recently purchased the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro laptop, and I’m trying to set it up with my Netgear router for high-speed Wi-Fi. Since I use the internet extensively for streaming, online meetings, and downloading large files, a stable and fast connection is essential for me. The IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 9 16 inch AMD laptop supports the latest Wi-Fi standards, and my router is a Netgear Nighthawk model, which is also known for delivering high-speed internet. However, I’ve heard that sometimes laptops and routers from different manufacturers might have compatibility issues or need specific settings for optimal performance. Here are a few questions I hope someone can help me with: Does the IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 9 16 inch AMD work seamlessly with Netgear routers, especially for high-speed Wi-Fi connections? Are there any specific settings or configurations I should adjust on my Netgear router for better compatibility? Has anyone faced connectivity or speed issues when pairing this laptop with a Netgear router? If so, how did you resolve them? Does the laptop’s Wi-Fi adapter fully support features like Wi-Fi 6 or 6E that some Netgear routers offer? I’d appreciate any tips, advice, or personal experiences from the community. If you’ve successfully paired this laptop with a Netgear router, I’d love to hear about your setup and any steps you took to optimize the connection. Thanks in advance for your help!RAXE500 tanked internet
This started about 2 days back. My internet speed through my RAXE500 has almost no download speed (0.04Mbps Down vs. 630Mbps up) however when I am directly connected to my ISP I have 560Mbps down vs 650Mbps up. Has anyone run into this issue and if so do you remember how to resolve it? Additional information: When connecting to my works vpn I jump up to 50 mbps up and down I have called Netgear and they have said their is no hardware issue however they wanted me to pay for a service to troubleshoot it The RAXE500 is not even a year oldNighthawk AC3000 (R7900P) wifi 5 vs. Nighthawk AX1800 (3 unit Mesh) wifi 6
Found a hell of a deal on a Nighthawk AX1800 3 unit mesh network (lets just say it was close to the register) and I picked it up before I did any research. Now that I am home, before I unbox I wanted to get some opinions on which system would be better for my situation. Currently I am using a AC3000 (R7900P), but have been wanting to implement a wifi 6 Mesh for future proof and to ensure better coverage across the bands Variables: Roughly 4,100 Sqft, spread across 3 levels As of today I have 39 devices on my network (mix of streaming and smart devices) 11 TV's streaming (probably not more than 5 active at any time) Google fiber 1GB speed I have been having some recent and intermittent issues with my 5Ghz bands on my current R7900P losing connection and or major slowness.RAX50 not booting properly, orange power light.
Were given a used RAX50 and attempted to attach it these days. After some tries at a manufacturing facility reset the energy mild turns orange now and just remains solid orange. I study someplace that light means its booting nevertheless however the truth that it's been 30+ minutes and no exchange leads me to believe some thing is wrong with it. I additionally attempted the use of tftp with simplest my laptop linked to push a firmware update however it usually comes returned with "join Request Failed" inside the cmd spark off. Attempted pinging 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 and get "PING: transmit failed. General Failure." Any help would be appreciated.Wifi 6 on main router but using a wifi 5 as an access point
I've been researching about this and can't find a straight answer. I have my main router, a NETGEAR Nighthawk AX5 RAX43 and it works great except in two spots in my house, thankfully the house has ethernet runs pretty much anywhere, and I have a spare router, a Linksys MR6350 that I'm currently using as an ethernet gigabit switch basically. Can Iset it up as an access point so my devices seamlessly connect to it when moving along, will having one SSID working on wifi 6 and wifi 5 be an issue? I've had issues before with wifi roaming (I think that's what's it called) so I'm not sure if maybe getting another wifi 6 router down the line will be a better choice. How to get the most out of Nighthawk AX5400
Hey all. I'm a total noob to most of this stuff so please take it easy on me! But I did just purchase a wifi 6 router in the Nighthawk AX5400. My point of this post is to try and gather information to help me get the best performance out of this router. Unfortunately where I live 250mb is the best internet available to me, so that's what I have. I have it connected to my modem using a cat 8 ethernet cable. I've heard you can get better performance out of routers according to what channel you choose for your network? Or by changing the mghz or something? I live in a smaller town/neighborhood and when I search for networks in range there are probably only 3 to 4 neighbors networks that pop up. Thank you all in advance for your tips!RAXE500 is a bit hot. Isn't it supposed for the fan to kick in?
I mean. it's not like lava hot but is somewhat hot and I've never noticed the fan to kick in, only when I reboot the router. Do you know if this is normal? is the temperature threshold for the fan to kick in too high? Also, the router lately has started to lose internet connectivity and I need to reboot it and I'm associating it with this temperature thing cause the room is hotter, or could it be happening for another reason?AX5400 RAX50v2 Bridgeing
I just got the AX5400 a couple of hours ago. I specifically got it for the wireless bridging capabilities. There was nothing in the listing or on the packaging to indicate that this was the RAX50v2. I specifically got it from the Netgear section on Amazon. On the webpage for the wireless bridging I saw that RAX50v2 does have support for wireless bridging. Is my only option to return the router? Or are the they firmware compatible and I can reflash the RAX50v2 with the RAX50 firmware?
