Connecting 2 GS728TP switches using SPF Fiber ports.
I am trying to connect two of these switches at a distance of 200 meters. Can these switches handle 10G speeds between the two switches if I used 2 matching fiber SPF adapters at each switch or are these limited to only 1G? I know the limit on each Ethernet port is 1G but I can't find what the limits or capabilities would be using the SPF ports on each switch. Hi folks, Have a small network spanning 2 buildings connected via fiber. Each end has a JFS524F switch with AF711F fiber SFP module. I am seeing packet drops at the remote end. 1. How do I troubleshoot this? I have powercycled both switches and problem continues. 2. One option is to replace both ends with Gigabit switches supporting fiber module. Netgear site says JGS524F, but that may be obsolete. What is the least expensive way to replace this functionality? I believe the fiber module that I want is the AGM731FSolved2.4KViews0likes4Comments
