My MR80 recently bricked with corrupted firm ware. Exterior light is blinking white. I've tried cycling it on and off and verified the cables I use are good. Factory reset pressed when the router is powered on does nothing. I was following the instructions (including manually setting the IP of the computer) to manually update the firmware via tftp using command prompt but I can't maintain a connection long enough to send the file. While the router is blinking white, my computer registers the Ethernet connection as "Media disconnected" (via ipconfig). When I try to send the file I get the message "connection request failed". When I try to ping (using command prompt) the router IP I get "request timed out" If I hold the factory reset while connecting the router to power and continue holding it, the blinking white led will turn amber for about 10 seconds. During the time when it's amber ipconfig registers the connection to the router reflecting the static IP/subnet/gateway I set. Once the light goes back to blinking white, I no longer get a responses. When the light is amber and I ping the router IP (in command prompt) I get 1ms response with 0%loss.The light goes back to the blinking white independent of whether or not I continue to hold the factory reset. The time the amber is lit is insufficient to receive the firmware. I've tried different ports on the router with no difference. I've tried everything I can think of but unless I can get the computer to communicate with the router for longer I can't figure out how to get the firmware uploaded.2.4KViews0likes4CommentsMR80 Satellite is on the glitch
I bought the NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX3600 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (3-pack) in April of 2022. I only set up 1 satellite since it was what I needed. I had no issues with it until last week. When the satellite started acting up. Connecting/disconnecting and have slower speeds. I live in a rural area and my internet is provided through radio waves. We have a radio installed on the top of the house that picks up the signals from a nearby cell tower and a hardwire goes from the radio on the house to the modem. It's basically the same setup as a satellite tv. My router is plugged into the modem. Our internet speed maxes out at 50mbps. I typically get 30 to 40. Rarely I get below that. Last week I started having issues. I unplugged the satellite for a while to reset it. I updated the firmware, twice. I am now up to date. I plugged it back it in and it was working. But every so often that day it would drop in and out. I had unplugged it again and was still having issues so I knew then that the isp was acting up. It cleared up and I plugged in the satellite again and it was working. Yet, past few days every few hours it would drop in and out. I called my isp tonight after having horrible service tonight. Thought it was them since there were other issues and my neighbors had issues last week as well so I thought it could be the tower. Typically if we have cell phone issues then there is something wrong with the tower and there was tonight, I had to restart my phone because I couldn't even call out. But it fixed itself before I called my isp tonight at about 9pm, left a msg, and they called me back around 10pm. Tonight we did several speed tests. My satellite was getting 11 and 17mbps while the router was maxxed at 50mbps. Since I unplugged the satellite I haven't had much issues. So how do I fix this? I checked the troubleshoot and they had no option for a satellite in a mesh network glitching. My router is fine. It's the satellite and I don't know why. Even if there is interference it should only affect the speed not it connecting and disconnecting, right? I have my satellite on a stand near my Fire TV. On the stand is also a Cyberpower battery back-up surge protector 950V in which both items are plugged into. The satellite is about a foot below it. And I have a floor fan in front of it pointed outward to the room. Could this be causing interference? I just replugged in the satellite and moved it to be behind the tv. But it's still only putting out 15mbps. How do I know if the issue is interference or if it is the satellite itself? How do I fix it? Reset it to factory? What if that doesn't fix it? Should I try setting up the other satellite? And if it works replace it? I bought the system from Best Buy and got the geek squad warranty...should I take it back? Just for the satellite not working? It would require a long trip to the nearest Best Buy store. I just want it work again with no issues. Just tested it again and getting 34mbps. I don't know if this means things are fixed or it is in its working mode and will glitch later. If It is still glitching should I reset it to factory and see if that fixes it? Is that my only option since its firmware is up to date? Or are there other options to try before a factory reset?NEW - NIGHTHAWK MESH WIFI 6 ROUTER #MR60
Hello fellow Computer geeks, Bought this Router about 1.5 years ago. Been trying to update the Firmware on my router today using Netgear's web site and downloads. Using the "Manual Update" option. Now the REBOOT button "On the Status-satellite-info" is red and I cannot update the router. I have tried: Unplugging power cord, Reset button and the Sync button on the router. Is there another way to force a restart on this router??? Thank you for any help...Information request

How can I force the update to the latest firmware Thank you in advance for your return. OlivierUsing new firmware on MESH: no smooth upgrade
Hi, I would like to know how the community experience is on upgrading firmware versions on router/satelite configurations like the MK62 (MS60 + 2x MR60)? I've had these Route/Satelites for some time now and have upgraded a couple of times by now. But every single upgrade it doesn't run smoothly. This time I upgraded to 1.1.6.124. Satelites first, one by one. No problem after satelite upgrades, both sync with router (that was still on 1.1.6.122). Then upgrade the router. The router upgrade itself was done quick enough. But after that the satelites link was gone. And they just could not sync. Instructions then say: take the satelites closer to the router and try again. The locations where the satelites are in my house I've used for more then a year..... Only ofter several resets and resync's the satelites are connected again. As far as I can tell, the above procedure (satelites before router) is what the user manual says. So why do I have this hassle every time again? Regards.Netgear Nighthawk MK models can only access Google/Facebook, but not for other sites.
I have been using the MK62 since 2020. This problem start popping up when I switched my service provider this month. Occasionally, I will lose access to all websites, except for Facebook, Google, Youtube (they will work perfectly fine). The light icon on MK62 will remain blue during the issue occurs. Everything will go back to normal when I remove the power plug and reset the router. Also confirmed that the modem is working fine during the issue occurs. Anyone has faced similar issues? Is it related to the firmware updates this month?Nighthawk AX3600 Tri-Band WiFi 6 Mesh System
It appears my router is t even a selection available as a model, I’m looking for information regarding connectivity issues with NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX3600 Tri-Band WiFi 6 Mesh System (3-Pack) or called the MK83. The problem is on multiple devices it shows full signal but then get errors saying cannot connect to wifi, specifically iPhones have the worst issues and a Roku tv. I have the router unit installed in the center of the house and my satellites are only 6 feet and 21 feet away from the main, but constantly show nothing connected to the satellites, even though my Xbox is wired to one of them. I’ve changed the 5Ghz channels 3 times, no joy. 2.4Ghz changed from 6 to 1 and then 12. Not much improvement. Is this normal? I can’t find much info out there on these units and think they might just be garbage! My old linksys wrt54 had better range and connectivity. I’m at my wits end and may just buy another router, but thought I’d reach out since Nighthawks are supposed to be good, but there service is lacking. Of course I didn’t notice all these issues when I had there “armor” protection. Wondering if it’s related.
