Problems with Permissions
Hello, we have a problem with Netgear ReadyNas 2120 v2 by one of our customer. At first i tell you the configuration: System Version: 6.7.4 Serial Number: 3SJ95CEU002DF Application installed: SMB Plus They have two data shares. One of them is shared with AFP and the other one is shared with the SMB protocoll. For backup they have five external USB hard drives. The data are backuped incrementally daily on a different external hard disk. Only the administrator has got the permission to see und access the five backup drives. Problem: Sometimes when they change the backup drive, the permissions from the shares and backup drive are lost an mixed up. Then the backup drive is readable and accesable for every user and the two shares are invisible. I can fix the problem temporally, when i deactivate the afp and smb protocoll from the two shares and activate it again. But this is only a limited solution until the problem reappears. btsync don't remember settings after reboot.
Hi, I did install btsync and it did work perfect, I did intall the latest version from the dropbox of the dev. Did run it for 2-3 days, then I rebooted the NAS and after reboot btsync forgets the settings. Do some one know how to fix it? I have tried Factory reset, I have tried it with 6.1.5 and 6.1.6 but the same issue is still there. I have a ReadyNAS rn1020 with R6 I guess.
What addon can stream 'mkv' file to PS3
Hi there, I can see a lot of add-ons for READYNAS DUO (RND), but can somebody tell me - which of them can really stream mkv video files to PS3? No matter is it will be freeware or shareware software, main idea is just real necessary possibility... because decoding video files to acceptable by PS3 avi files at my local PC, before streaming, is a long boring process.
MySQL starting problem - error code: 22002010000
Hi, I have read a few posts about My SQL problem and I haven't found the resolution of my problem. I try to install MySQL from Apps option. Everything is fine - MySQL appears on Installed Apps. When I try to switch the state of it from OFF to ON I receive the following message: "Application failed initialize, code: 22002010000" Is anybody there who can give me some tips or know what helps me to resolve this problem? I know linux OS and I can use SSH. Thanks in advance.Update file is not valid for this architecture?
Earlier this year I bought a ReadyNAS NV+ (silver body, 4 bays all with 2tb, scheme 5,0). It's running RAIDiator version 4.1.9 build 1.00a043 (Orange and Blue FrontView web interface). Today I purchased the following. - Python2.7_2.7.3-rnsparc-0.5.1 - SABnzbd_0.6.15-rnsparc-0.7.0 - SickBeard_0.485.1-rnsparc-0.8.1 Went to System/update/local. Clicked "Choose File". Selected "Python2.7_2.7.3-rnsparc-0.5.1" add-on (bin file). Clicked "Upload and verify image". Clicked "OK". Got this error message, "Update file is not valid for this architecture". What's going on, has the processor been changed? Have I misunderstood the installation process? Bellow are some possibly relevant information. - I have done what I can to verify the processor, but there appears to be nothing in FrontView or RAIDar that verifies this. - I don't have SSH installed because I read somewhere that it invalidates warranty. - I got this same error some time back when I tried manually updating RAIDiator. - I just tried some other SPARC add-ons and I always get this message. - I have no third party add-ons installed. - I have the "ReadyDLNA" streaming service and "TimeMachine support" turned on. - I haven't tried any from the other architecture because I don't want to waste more money and I'm sure it is SPARC. teaming on ReadyNAS Pro Pioneer Edition 4.2.22 ?
Does anyone tried super-poussin old add-on to add teaming of the 2 ethernet link on a NVX PP with radiator version 4.2.22 ? (available here viewtopic.php?f=48&t=34262&hilit=team+addon) I just upload it and install it but on frontview / installed modules it is written "Only for use With Pioneer using 4.2.7 to 4.2.11" So, I'm not confident to enable it... Please some help / advice ? Thank you.Solved
Subsconic 4.7.04 is a disaster on NVX
Been trying to get Subsonic to work on an NVX. NVX originally had 4.2.20 on it. Installed Subsonic but web GUI would not launch. Checked \webroot\subsonic folder and found Java and other folders did not load on addon install. Tried removing addon, reinstalling to no avail. Upgraded NVX to 4.2.21 and had same problem. Next upgraded to 4.2.23-T6 and same problem. NO other addons on this NAS. Few services running. its basically been a CIFS file server. Checked filesystem and quotas and all good. Using approved disks. Only way to get Java to load is to first install Subsonic 2.0 then upgrade to 4.7.04. Problem is that its obvious that Subsonic does not properly update itself and it crashes constantly. I can tell because the version of JRE is OLD. So, what is the fix? I can see by searching the forum that I'm not the only one experiencing Subsonic crashing. Creating a CRON job to check the service is not the answer. If this addon installed properly, it likely would work! Advice?
