NasDuo Instalation Disc - no link for it online
I have been searching for the installation disc for the NASDua 2110, however it is not available on the netgear website. I downloaded the one for 2100, however no program will open it up. I want to use a used 2Tb seagate disk to replace one of drives in a ReadyNAS NV+4000. I have only 2 2tb drives in a X-raid configuration but rotating total 4 drives ( 2 of them kept in another place as an shuretobeshure backup) When I bought a new disk it was only to put it in the NAS and it automatically synced with the first one but now when I want to use a earlier backup disk with a old backup on it Iam not shure what to do. How do I know which of the drives will be synced? I dont want the old drive to overwrite the new one. Should I reformat the old drive before i sync it? Or remove the partition? Apps operation failed. Application 'elc' cannot be installed on lastest firmware 6.7.4
When added Egnyte Storage Sync for NetGear on my ReadyNAS Cloud, I'm getting a "Apps operation failed. Application 'elc' cannot be installed. I was able to add Dropbox, Google Driive, Amazon Cloud Drive and Amazon S3 without issues. I'm at the latest Firmware (6.7.4) with Healthy Status and rebooted a few times. Messed with php
I was palaying around pydio installation and i ended up trying the following nano /etc/apt/sources.list add deb http://packages.dotdeb.org wheezy-php56-zts all deb-src http://packages.dotdeb.org wheezy-php56-zts all apt-get update if you get an error like: GPG error: http://packages.dotdeb.org wheezy-php56 Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY E9C74FEEA2098A6E then : wget http://www.dotdeb.org/dotdeb.gpg apt-key add dotdeb.gpg and again apt-get update then : apt-get install php5 check you on PHP 5.6.x php -v if all's good restart apache: service apache2 restart when apt-get install php5, os asked me if i want to keep the configuration or not and i asked no (maybe my mistake but i had no choice as other option failed) Now I turn into trouble depite the fact that php5 is well installed I can't install pydio that doesnt appear anymore in apps, i nether can't install any cms (joomla,drupal,oscommerce), frontview says "application list is outdated and need to be refresh" or application install failed, other apps are installing ok I tryed a physical reset with OS reinstall without any success Somemone may help, thx by advance3.3KViews0likes3Comments
My NV+ out of hardware warranty - assuming power supply dead - $75 per issue - is it worth it?
Hi, I have a ReadyNAS NV+ v1 that seems to have a broken power supply ( no light, no spinup, no fan, just dead). This happened right after I replaced the fan (which was making noise) with a new Noctua fan using the ribber attachments to attach the fan grating and the fan to the chassis. The pinouts I used for the new fan are the same as the one I took out. Unfortunately, my NV+ v1 is out of warranty (bought 2007). CS wants $75 per incident to debug my problem. Before the fan replacement I replaced my old Hitachi 500 GB drives with 4 WD 1 TB RED drives, which are on my hardware list as compatible with the NV+ V1. I had NO problems installing and syncing these 4 drives, although I never turned off the NV+. So I guess I'm saying that this is the 1st time in many months (I have a UPS attached to the NV+) that I've turned ff my NV+ for a extended length of time. In addition to my problems, I'm using X-RAID. But luckily, I have a 1 TB WD MY Passport made for laptops which has a FULL backup of my data (it's in EXT2 format, but my iMac can read it with EXTFS for MAC OSX from Paragon Software). eBay has 2 power supply for my NV+ that have been modified with additional air holes. But in looking at the labels on these PS', it seems that they are 2 different units. Amazon seems to sell these same units via 3rd party sales. Honestly, I don't know what to do. $75 for ONE warranty call is steep in my opinion. The CS didn't even say if they had the PS in stock.
