NAT

Thought I had this figured out, but it's not working. I have 5 public IPs: x.x.x.153-157 I have 3 mail servers: 10.200.10.2-4 WAN Mode is NAT, and I've set up an inbound SMTP rule as follows: Service: SMTP Action: ALLOW always Send to LAN Server: Address Range Start: 10.200.10.2 Finish: 10.200.10.4 WAN Destination IP Address: Address Range Start: x.x.x.153 Finish: x.x.x.155 WAN1 is set to x.x.x.153 with subnet & gateway per ISP. I can ping .153, but not .154 or .155. All servers work (individually) with single-server port forwarding, none work with 1-1. Double-checked external DNS; all correct. Am I missing a setting or something?13KViews0likes6CommentsLinking Xbox One Wired Connection NAT issues
Hello! I have a NETGEAR Genie R6400 wireless router. I have hooked up my Xbox One in the past when I first purchased this router and I had this same issue. When the Xbox is wired directly to the router with all current settings the NAT type on the console is strict and "behind a port-preserving port-symmetric NAT". When I had this issue about a year ago, I contacted Xbox support, who led me through a series of options. These options ended up with me setting a static IP for the console, forwarding a number of ports, turning off UPnP, disabling SIP ALG and setting it to "open NAT," and establishing a DMZ to my consoles static IP. These settings all fixed the issue I was having. However, recently my router was reset to factory settings by another family member and now these settings are not fixing the issue. I contacted Xbox support and they walked me through some steps but none were successful. I'm curious if I need to completely redo the process? All my previous settings were still present, such as my static IP and the DMZ. I had to re-forward all the ports but I just forwarded them to the previously saved static IP. Could this be the issue I'm having? Or are there other settings I should be looking at? What setting should be changed or needed to wire my Xbox One directly to the router so the NAT type is open and I'm getting the most out of my router for bandwidth and gaming. Any and all responses and help is appreciated, thank you.11KViews0likes7CommentsMR1100 – Nighthawk M1 Strict NAT on Xbox Issue
Hello, all. A few months back I purchased a unlimited data plan with at&t along with this hotspot in order to game on the Xbox One with it. So, I get on Xbox to find that I have a Strict NAT. I know many here would automatically point me towards a beginners guide on port forwarding but, that's my problem. I did that. I port forwarded everything it asked me to, I tried it both with a static IP and without a static IP. I reset my Xbox time and time again along with clearing the MAC address (After every change to the settings I the modem I made, I reset my Xbox and made sure to unplug it for at least a minute and drain the power block). Hell, I even tried to enable DMZ, knowing that it was dangerous and it STILL didn't open my NAT. My model of nighthawk has UPnP, but that doesn't work either for some reason. In the network settings of the Xbox it says the following: IPv4 NAT Type: Strict UPnP not successful xbox.com/xboxone/UPnP All services are available. I went to the link provided here and tried their method to make UPnP work. It didn't. I attached a screenshot of my attwifimanager page show what I did to port forward (I blocked out my static IP because I didn't know if it would be safe to share here) I would be grateful to anyone who could give me a STEP BY STEP for this model/at&t solution. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong because I've been trying to fix this for months.NAT for different subnet
I have a nighthawk R7000, and behind it a cisco switch which had different VLANs configured under separate subnets. The default subnet for the r7000 is 192.168.1.0/24, but I also have a 192.168.3.0/24 subnet and can't seem to get it to access the internet. I can get it return a DNS query, but my thought is that the R7000 is not NATing the 192.168.3.0/24 subnet. Is this possible, if so how? Thanks in advance PSolved6KViews0likes2CommentsC6300 NAT Settings
Hello All, My son is trying to use his XBOX App on his WIndows 10 Laptop and when he tries to join a party and chat with his brothers he gets an error saying his network setting won't allow this. My thought was I probably need to open the NAT settings. However, when I went to WAN setup there isn't any NAT filtering option to change. I think it's supposed to be by the "Disable SIP ALG" setting but I see nothing there. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Grazie a chiunque risponda!Solved5.2KViews0likes3CommentsFVS336GV3 adding multiple IP addresses on WAN
Make/Model: Netgear Prosafe FVS336GV3 4.3.3-6 - applies to any version Having wasted time reading multiple posts but successfully adding multiple IP addresses to a single WAN port, I thought I would post the simple solution myself, so that Netgear employees don;t have to stretch themselves too much.... Make sure you create and add SECONDARY ADDRESSES to the WAN (1 or 2) BEFORE you create your inbound NAT rules. Only then will they appear in the drop-down list where you can bind them to internal addresses (see above screen-shot)4.6KViews0likes1CommentRN314 iptables NAT support, openvpn
Hello, I use the RN314 with the OS 6.6.0. Seems some modules are missing by default in the kernel. I am trying to configure openvpn. It works to acces to my NAS remotely, but to redirect all internet browsing through the vpn I need to add some nat rules like : $ sudo iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -o eth1 -s 10.8.1.0/24 -j MASQUERADE iptables v1.4.21: can't initialize iptables table `nat': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?) Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded. It seems possible to build the kernel with this module, but why Netgear does not add this module natively ? or what is the easyest workaround ? Thanks for your help !Solved4.1KViews0likes3CommentsRange Extender with NAT ???
I'm in a location that has horrible internet service (1mb/s) and the only realistic choice is using a mobile hotspot (tablet). It offers unlimited 30-60mb/s. Unfortunately, it supports only 8 devices, and will not hotspot via USB or ethernet... only WIFI. I need a device to increase the WIFI to 24 or more devices. Essentially, I need a regular wireless/wired Router, but with a WIFI WAN/internet input. (instead of ethernet). or Another possibility would be a WIFI extender with built NAT and a DHCP server to assign IP addresses to the connected devices (like in a router). It would present only one IP address to the hotspot regardless of the number of devices attached. The problem is that regular WIFI extenders simply pass through the IP addresses of all the connected devices to the hosting hotspot... to make things worse, the extender itself becomes another connected device. I can't believe that I'm the only one in the world who needs to connect more than 8 devices to their home hotspot. Suggestions???Port Passthrough to DrayTek
Hi Guys, I may be hounded from here for the very mention of a different brand however I am in need of som knowledgable help. We have an office that has just been setup in Qatar and we were told things that didnt turn out exactly as planned. The end result is that we have the Netgear router that will not seem to let us pass through the WAN IP to the DrayTek router. What we are looking to do is allow a true DMZ as such instead of the transformed passthrough we currently get (port remapping). Anyone on here managed to do this?
