12 TopicsNighthawk and Xfinity Modem- No Internet?
I just got a Nighthawk X6S AC4000 router to replace my aging Apple Airport Extreme network, Modem has been set correclty to bridge mode and the radio deactivated, and the Extreme has been our wifi router with some devices directly wired to it as well. I tried to replace the AE with the Nighthawk, but the router would not relay the internet signal. Devices coould connect to the Nighthawk via WiFi and I had one computer wired in with ethernet as well. No internet access either way. The internet light on the Nighhawk is white and stable, indicating successful internet connection, but it is not being passed on to any connected devices. I was able to directly plug a laptio into the modem and got internet instanly, so the modem is working fine. I was also able to reconnect the AE network and that router does fine. I tried rebooting both the rouer and the modem severla times in different order. Sam issue. Cannot figure out what the problem.Solved5.1KViews0likes3CommentsInternet down and DS/US light is flashing.
Good afternoon, as the title of the topic states, my internet is currently down and there is a flashing downstream/upstream light. I already checked around on the forums for an answer but none of the topics seemed to be related to my issue. I've called my ISP and they said that our internet bill is up to date and we should have connection. I've had this modem for a little over 2 weeks now and this is the first I've had this issue. I can technically connect to the modem but I am not getting any internet to any device (hardlined or wifi). If anyone could give me some insight on what can be done to fix it that would be awesome.2.3KViews0likes1CommentConnected, no internet WN3000RP
I have updated firmware and done a factory reset multiple times. I am still getting the "Connected, no Internet". I have restarted my routers and the extender. I have checked and it IS using the same IP Subnet. I am out of options and wondering if this is damaged somehow by recent weather and power outages.Solved4.4KViews0likes1CommentNetgear N300 WiFi Range Extender
I have a range extender (Netgear wn3000rpv3) that has been working fine for a couple of years. Yesterday, it gets unplugged due to cleaning. Upon plugging it back in, the network pops up just as before without any messages saying there is no internet access, but all attempts at going online hang indefinitely. This is across multiple devices. I tried turning it off, unplugging it, etc. to no avail. I even did the factory reset, and set it up on the previous network just as before, and it has the exact same hanging issue! One thing I have noticed is that since yesterday (and before and after the reset) the top right led (devices?) generally glows red although it sometimes switches to green for a brief time. Any help is appreciated, but please don't tell me to update the firmware unless this is a known past issue fixed in a release, because it was working fine yesterday. hello, I was able to connect to my VPN home router in the USA. I have the R7900 Nighthawk. I followed the instructions from netgear and set up the client on my laptop abroad. I successfully connected to my router, at least by seeing the OpenVPN GUI showing green when I connect to my home router, so I assume that means I am connected via my VPN. After connecting via the VPN, I can't seem to connect to the internet via the VPN on any browser: Chrome, Firefox, Edge and I even tried Internet Explorer 11. I tried a combination of port triggering on 12974 and allowing from 500 to 1294? Just a shot in the dark. I don't know what I'm exactly doing, just trying anything. I am in Thailand now. I am trying to connect to my home VPN primarily to watch Netflix. Is this possible once I can connect to the internet after connecting the VPN? Thank you.Solved15KViews0likes5CommentsConnected to Extender, but no Internet
Hi All I just purchased a Wifi Extender due to poor signal for my Android Box in another room as well as to help increase the signal strength across the house. I want to use the ethernet plug from the extender directly to the android box as I've heard that's better than the wifi path. The issue I'm having is that I can get my devices to recognize the extender, and connect to it... however they are not able to connect to the internet. I've tried multiple factory resets, both with setup via ethernet cable/WPS and still am not having any luck. I am able to connect to 192.168.1.250 when I have the EXT network selected, however no other pages will load. The Extender I have is N300 / Model EX2700 The router I have is Linksys EA4500 Any help will be appriciated! This is driving me slowly insane :)Solved425KViews0likes17CommentsOrbi setup (no internet)
Ok, this is frustrating as hell. I have tried nearly everything I have seen on here and yet the Orbi still says no Internet. If I plug my old router in it goes through first time. Before anyone asks, I have entered correct PPPoE information as required. I have also: * Ensured the modem was off for the initial installation * Tried spoofing the original router's Mac Address * Reset everything to defaults many times * Used different cables * Moved ports on modem from LAN 1 to LAN 4 as suggested * Upgraded to the latest firmware and run through all steps again. This is my second day of trying to get the Orbi working. I'm frustrated beyond belief, and am ready to return it to the store. Any suggestions?Had the AC750 for a week and have already needed to restart router to maintain connection?
I bought this extender less than a week ago and at first it worked great. Then today suddenly my phone and computer could not access the internet. They both had full bars from the extender, and could connect to the extender, but could not access the internet. They could both access the internet directly from the router when I moved close enough, however, so I know the problem is with the extender. I unplugged the extender, then unplugged and replugged in the router and waited for it to boot up, then replugged in the extender, and everything worked fine. Unfortunatley the router is in my landlords house so I had to ask to enter his house and do this. I don't want to have to do this every five days. Please tell me: is there something else I can do to prevent this from happening again?3.6KViews0likes1CommentN600 Router Model C3700 - Power on, All Lights Flash Periodically, No Internet, No WiFi
C3700|N600 Cable modem wifi router. 1.y years old. It suddenly stopped working. When switched on power light is getting on (green) and nothing happens then after a while (may be 30 secs) all the lights flash and goes off then power stays on. The router stays on like this (periodic flashing of all the lights). In this state the router is not accessible with either by network cable nor by WiFi and there is no internet connectivity as well. This problem was occuring once in a while and then it got resolved automatically i.e. if you switch it off and leave it like that for hours and switch it on then some time it worked earlies. But now it stopped working completely and it exhibits the above mentioend behavior consistently and not going back to the working state. Whether it indicates the firmware got corrupted and it need to be reinstalled. If yes how to do that? Factory reset and power cycle did not help. The behavior remains the same (i.e. power on, periodic flashing of all the lights but no internet, no WiFi and no connectivity to the modem/router).6.5KViews0likes1CommentHelp! WN3000RP range extender no longer connects since Windows 10
Hi All, I have found other posts on this community and the Microsoft community with users struggling to understand why their extenders no longer work. I took advantage of the free Win 10 upgrade but now am very frustrated that I can no longer connect to the my range extender. I have already: ensured the latest firmware is installed, shut off anti-virus protection and completed reboots of both my Netgear wireless router and extender. I'm out of options. Others must fill this pain. It makes no sense to me that this device (Lenovo Laptop) can connect to the wireless router but not the extender with the exact same info. I've completed all the obvious trouble shooting and different combinations of logging on. I am eager to hear another idea of how to solve this without giving up and buying a new extender. Sincerely, Jonathan2.9KViews0likes4Comments
