R8000P unable to hit 1 Gbps - PPPoE CTF issue
Hi, So, I purchased this router, R8000P, way back in 2017. I recently upgraded my ISP plan to 1 Gbps. My connection is PPPoE. On a wired connection, I get around 950ish but on a wireless, I only get around 600-650 on 5 GHz band. I am on the latest firmware. Most of the features like Dynamic QoS, Traffic meter, VPN are all disabled. I read on another thread that this router's predecessor, R8000, also had this exact issue and it had to do with CTF being disabled on a PPPoE connection, which Netgear later resolved through a firmware update. Now, I understand that R8000P is EOL and it is unlikely to get any firmware updates to fix this issue. So, how do I approach this issue? Also, is CTF disabled on PPPoE? If yes, how do I enable it? Is my only option to upgrade to WiFi 7 router or is there any other alternative? Thank you!I can't get it to setup via the app
I also am trying to use this router (I had it in storage for a minute) again, and I can't get it to setup via the app, and I can't login via the browser site http://www.routerlogin.net. please help. There's no qr code to scan to set it up via the app, and there isn't an option for this router in the manual setup.Netgear R8000P / X6S Netzteil

Weiß irgendjemand die Produktnummer des Netzteils? (19V,3,16A)? Oder die Produktnummer eines Ersatznetzeils mit demselben Stecker? I have attempted the TFTP method via CMD and am also getting the Connect request failed error. This is for a Netgear Nighthawk X6s R8000p that appears to be in some type of boot loop. Netgear Nighthawk X65 AC4000 Model R8000P Firmware V1.4.4.94_1.3.56 When I view my Administrator Log I see reoccurring logs every minute [DOS Attack: Fraggle Attack] from source [my public ip] port [my port] date timestamp I’ve seen other posts about these DOS Attacks of different types. I’m not an expert, but from what I can gather it shouldn’t be possible to get a real DOS Attack that comes from my own IP. Seems like these warnings maybe false positives. I checked with my ISP and they seem to agree with this line of thinking, but the discussion was far from definitive. I was hoping someone could offer more clarity on my situation which seems different from other posts in that the source is my own IP. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I have opened port 9100 on several IP's internally but when I try to access the port form the public IP the Port is not opened?? Screen shot below of my issue, I have one port for my cameras that opened no problem but my Printer ports even though they say they are open in the router are not?? I've tried login in to my R8000p router today and used the wrong password, then the right password with caps on by mistake. Not my finest hour..... 192.168.1.1 is now redirecting me to the Router Password Reset page. I set this up 7 years age, and have no idea what the answers were..... How do I get back to the password page? Ceri
