How to configure SNMP v3 Traps on this switch? I have current snmp config: snmp-server sysname "CENSORED-SYSNAME" ! snmp-server user "zabbix-netgear" DefaultWrite auth-sha512-key CENSORED-AUTHKEY priv-aes128-key CENSORED-ENCKEY snmp-server password-strength snmp-server v3-host CENSORED-IP "zabbix-netgear" traps priv acl-trapflags snmp-server enable traps captive-portal snmp-server enable traps mac-notification change ip dvmrp trapflags ip pim-trapflags However snmptrapd says that this user has authentication failure, here is part of the config createUser -e SWITCH_ENGINE_ID zabbix-netgear SHA "CENSORED-AUTHKEY" AES "CENSORED-ENCKEY" Despite having correct engine ID, correct keys switch cannot properly authenticate? I think problem lays in switch itself because sending test trap using snmptrap with same engine ID, auth key and encryption key works fine. Firmware 14.0.4.14

FS728TPv2 MIB files. Enable/disable POE admin mode via NMS300
Hi, We currently have 50 FS728TPv2 switches and are used to power electronic locks. We would like to know if there is a MIB file for the FS728TPv2 where it would be possible to cut the POE of a specific port via SNMP. I saw there are a few private netgear MIB's on NMS300, but none of them worked. I've also googled around but nothing came up. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks,

GS724T - Which HW & FW version?
I "inherited" a GS724T. I have no real idea how old it is, nor which HW version it is. It is currently running v1.2.3 FW. There is no obvious serial number, only a single label with it's MAC address. How do I determine the specfic HW version? Which version of the FW can I install on this unit? Specifically, I'm looking for SNMP support which is apparently not included in v1.2.3. Thanks. T.

snmp issue with 6.6.0
Since upgrading to 6.6.0 I'm no longer able to monitor disk usage using snmp. I've been using cacti to graph my 312 for the last 2 years. The system disk and the two disk in the NAS no longer appear when I query the device. With snmpwalk I still see swap, memory etc but not the physical disks. RN104 - does it support UPS managed over USB?
I am thoroughly confused. Does RN104 support UPS monitoring over USB? ReadyNAS OS 6.4 Software Manual states: "The ReadyNAS supports UPS devices managed over SNMP and UPS devices managed over a remote connection. It does not support monitoring over USB." ReadyNAS OS 6.6 Software Manual states: "The ReadyNAS supports UPS devices managed over SNMP, USB, and over a remote connection." Am I correct in assuming that the RN104 now accepts UPS with USB connection whereas it didn't before? (which was not long ago). I have yet to find a reasonably priced UPS supporting SNMP (i.e. under £100). Most support USB though, so that seems the only route.

SNMP polling issue FVS336GV2
Hi all, Working on setting up snmp polling from a server on the LAN polling the LAN address assigned to the firewall with no luck. Few things I've noticed, I did a packet capture from the snmp management server and the firewall (capturing on the LAN interface), the packet capture from the snmp management server shows the getrequest sent out, and the capture from the firewall does not show it was received on the LAN interface, however here is the odd the part, I then enabled system logs to log all unicast traffic and seeing the snmp traffic from the management server to the firewall LAN address, but do not see a getresponse from the firewall in either case. Hitting my head against the wall with this one, should be a 10 minute setup, any input is apprecaited!

RN4220 and SNMP connected UPS
I have a readynas 4220 running firmware 6.4.0. It is connected to a network enabled UPS. ( APC Symmetra LX 8000 RM ) I am polling the UPS with SNMP v1. I am getting " System: Error communicating with UPS 'Symetra' () " then 10 sec later " System: Communication with UPS 'Symetra' () is OK. " This runs in spurts. Quiet for a few hours, then 16 in about 2 hours of time. The UPS is not logging any alerts or error activity. Is this a proven connection method with a UPS? Or a feature that is not used much or is troublesome? I have 3 network connections running to the switch. 1g and 10g copper. Should not be a bandwidth issue. Garet

Hi all, I have had to reset my ReadyNAS Ultra 6 to defaults, and have lost the SNMP addon. I cannot locate it on my own PC, or on any of the forums. I have searched for hours with no success. [RN104] How to set up UPS monitoring?
Via searching I've come across several posts that address only parts of what I'd like to do, but aren't applicable to the task as a whole. Here's my setup: RN104 Hyper-V 2012 R2 (Server Core chopped off at the knees—CLI only) APC SMC1000 (no networking w/this model) I've got some iSCSI LUNs on the RN104 that're used by the server, thus the server needs to shut down first—preferably at least five minutes sooner. What's my best approach? Should the NAS somehow push a command out to the server or should the server poll the NAS? How would I do this in any case? Thanks, Jeff Bowman Fairbanks, Alaska

really slow internet speed over FVS318G
hi I have 100Mbps over internet cable connection. FVS318G SNMP is connected to the cablecom modem, but the download speed is just 15Mbps. If I try to connect my PC or my notebook to the cable modem directly, then I get 100Mbps. How is the max download speed over FVS318G router with firewall enabled? BTW what happens if I try to change from NAT to Classical Routing between WAN & LAN interfaces, it will disable firewall?
