Greetings, I setup the VPN service on our SXR80 with the latest firmware (V4.3.3.200). Our VPN connections were working fine for a while until recently. Now OpenVPN when using the connection for our VPN, show as constantly connecting. The Firmware hasn't changed as it has been the last one they made before they stopped working on them. The client configuration files haven't changed. So Why can't it complete a connection? I am getting this message on the connections. "Wed Feb 4 16:16:36 2026 WARNING: Compression for receiving enabled. Compression has been used in the past to break encryption. Sent packets are not compressed unless "allow-compression yes" is also set. Wed Feb 4 16:16:36 2026 DEPRECATED OPTION: --cipher set to 'AES-128-CBC' but missing in --data-ciphers (AES-256-GCM:AES-128-GCM). OpenVPN ignores --cipher for cipher negotiations. " We were getting these messages before but the connection was still made. Did OpenVPN change or did the firmware change or something else?Orbi Pro Router (SXR80) Satellite Connection Issues (SXS80)
I have been running two networks based on the SXR80 router and SXS80 satellites. Recently I have been seeing a strange behavior. The Insight App and Cloud say the satellites are NOT connected, but the Satellites show Blue LED indicators which suggest they are connected. I have done complete restarts of the system from the cable modems, then router then satellites, but nothing gets the insight app to see them as connected? I also noticed a very strange behavior in the insight cloud portal as well. connections to the network that are listed as "Wired" are all wireless devices?!? I have no idea why that would display in that fashion when thinks like wireless cameras, mobile phones and ring doorbells are clearly not wired to the network. Is this a firmware issues? Any suggestions? Thanks!SXR80 under warranty, but end of life
Hello, We have an SXR80 router and 2 SXS80 satellites. All are under warranty, but Netgear has EOL'd these devices. That means that there are no more firmware updates, etc. What are our options for replacing these? I mean, they weren't cheap and now they're not even supported by the manufacturer. Warranty doesn't mean much in this instance, does it?Orbi Pro 6 (SXR80 - SXS80) Connection with Powerline Adapter
Hi Community, Has anyone had success connecting an Orbi Pro 6 Mesh System Router to a Satellite using a Powerline Adapter? I have a a network setup with an SXR80 and an SXS80 but was having a difficult time keeping the satellite connected. Lacking a direct wired connection I have tried a Netgear Powerline adapter and while it appears to work....the Insight App shows a connected satellite on the dashboard, when I click into the satellite screen, the satellite details show an IP Address, with 0 connected clients and Mesh Link Status of "Disconnected" and firmware version of "0" However, it does appear to be working as a viable access point. I am just wondering if this is now running in some sort of reduced performance mode and I also wonder whether the automatic firmware updates will happen as scheduled and desired? Any insights (pun intended) into what might be going on, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
