I upgraded my PC to Windows 10 mainly to play Stardew Valley multiplayer, but now I’m facing an issue where my NAS (RNAS2120) shares only work once after reboot. After that, it says the drive is already in use or throws a login error. I’ve set up NFS support and identity mapping, and it worked the first time — but stops after closing and reopening Explorer. Anyone know a reliable fix?SolvedAfter recent Windows 10 update, I can't log in to Genie app
I recently got a new build of Windows 10 and Genie app no longer worked. Prompt said it was incompatable. I uninstalled the app with a utility that removed all evidence of the prior version (Revo Uninstall) and downloaded v2.4.44. Everything came up fine but I tried to get to my guest settings on my R6210, my log in failed (wrong password) using admin and "password". I removed the app again, did a factory reset router (disabled modem, held router reset button for more than 10 seconds, and updated Router firmware) which I felt would give me the ultimate start from scratch point. Again, when I got to my guest settings the login failed again (wrong password). Is there a way to reset the passwrd in the genie app? I tried using all of my other Netgear 'MyNETGEAR' account credentials and my router access access and Password information and I just simply get into the router settings without using the 198.162.1.1 address through my browser. I really appreciated the ease of using the Genie app to make changes as needed. I'm very good at electronics, but not so good at the software end of things and this is driving me nuts. Can anybody help?4.3KViews0likes7CommentsCannot access ReadyNAS 104 shares from PCs
Hello all, I have been trying to solve an issue with access to my ReadyNAS104 shares for quite a long time now with no success so far. It is running firmware 6.9.3. I have two machines, one is a work laptop that normally connects to a domain and one is a personal laptop that has no domain or workgroup. Both Win 10 Pro. The problem is that when I attempt to connect to the NAS in Windows explorer, I see the following prompt. I have tried several different combinations of username / password to no avail. My goal in the short term would be to get back to a situation where I have 'open access' for anyone on the network to access any share. Once that is working, I would like to make it so that one named user can access all shares and one guest named user can access just one folder perhaps. I've presented some screenshots of my NAS config here in case it helps. The articles linked below seem to be similar to my problem but maybe not exactly the same: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/Cannot-access-readyNAS-shares-on-a-home-workgroup-when/m-p/1018098 https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/domain-user-access/m-p/846795 https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyCLOUD/Cannot-access-ReadyNAS-shares-after-Win10-Fall-Creators-Update/m-p/1404006#M94261.7KViews0likes4CommentsOrbi RBK50 VPN Win10

Hi, This is a followup to below thread: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/Windows-10-Install-no-longer-able-to-access-NAS-shares/m-p/1467864 Resume: - Windows 10 Entreprise disabled SMB access to shares requesting/proposing the guest credentials. It won't even prompt for a user/pass account - ReadyNAS change log: OS 6.9.2 will fix this from the developers statements by disabling guest access - Until now, we were obliged to add in windows 10 the NAS credentials under which we need to access the SMB shares Current state using 6.9.3 firmware: - I tried to remove the corresponding windows credentail in the NAS: conenction is broken. I still need to add in windows 10 enterprise the NAS account to access the shares. It is behaving like if the NAS is still proposing guest access to windows 10 Bug report: This issue that was reported is still not fixed under 6.9.3. Any technical explanation and why we still need to manually add a windows account to access a NAS share ?Solved3.5KViews0likes8CommentsWindows 10 Install: no longer able to access NAS shares
Hi, I upgraded 3 days a go to Windows 10 Enterprise build 16299. It was an installation from scratch I sadly have no longer access to any of my SMB shares. Access was working on Windows 7: see image below - I tried dropping to SMB1 in SMB Application + reboot both PC and NAS: no success - I disabled IPV6 under LAN adapter in Windows 10: no success - I enabled every sharing option under Windows 10 for both Private and Public networks: no success Using cmd in admin console to map the network share: net use * /delete net use t: \\nas-ip-address\data /user:admin nas-admin-password Under the shell cmd, I have access to the shares and their listing through drive T: However, it is wired that Explorer GUI cannot access to the T: drive. So I still cannot see my shares in GUI Under Explorer, I can see the NAS: - under "Media Devices", and brows the DLNA folders - under "Storage", double clicking brings the NAS web admin GUI - under "Computer", named correctly "NAS-01": but if I try to access the shares it gives me a "Network access error" I attach above the image with my error Please help me fix this asap, I am lost and really need the SMB access to manage my backupsSolved43KViews0likes5CommentsProSafe FVG318
I had a nice wi-fi network set up on my rural 7 acres, back in 2011. A fire, on 01/15/13, wiped it all out. I was able to replace the fvg318 router; and, got things set up with that for the limited usage I needed since then; but, I no longer needed to use the access control list feature. Now, I've been able to replace the WAG302 access points and antennas; and, I'm trying to recreate what I had before. THEN, I was running ME & (later) Vista; and, the friend who lives on the west end of my property was running XP. Now, I'm running Win 10 and he's running Win 8. I don't remember my security set-up back then, other than the fact that I had to use the ACL to prevent other computers in the area from trying to "connect to the best signal." In setting things back up (as best I can), I'm running into a problem of my Netgear equip not wanting to let me use an access control list using anything other than WEP-PSK encription; and, it appears that Win 8 &10 no longer support WEP... With a FVG318 router and 2 WAG302 AP's, am I missing an option to use the ACL with an encription system that Win 8 & 10 support? I should add: 1) I have fairly severe fibromyalgia; and, when I push too hard physically, my IQ drops by 25~50%. It's entirely likely that I'm missing something that would be very obvious to me when I wasn't in a fibro-fog... 2) Getting newer equipment is NOT an option - I'm a disabled senior, on a subsistence level income. Plus, this "legacy" equipment does a job that any of the newer equipment simply won't do, even if I did have the means to afford it. (My 7 acres is a long, skinny strip with lots of trees and a steep declining topographical grade.) I'm not sure if this post actually posted; or, if it just got saved; but, I'll go ahead and risk "re-posting" it; since, (hopefully) I've now resolved the problem. From what I could tell, the main problem stemmed from either a page loading glitch; or, a brain loading glitch. When I went back tonight and tried again, I was able to change over to WPA and WPA2 (TKIP + AES Encryption) [then, set up the passkey] from the Network Configuration > Wireless Settings page. This time, everything was back to normal on the "Setup Access List" page. I've only reconfigured the router and 1 AP; and, I'll have to wait till tomorrow to do any outside testing; but, both laptops are now working on Wi-Fi off the router. I hope this helps someone else with a similar problem. :)984Views1like0CommentsReadycloud windows 10 App 1.16.1297.525
I have Windows 10 operating two computers. There was a recent Windows 10 update (July 2017) from Windows. I made the Windows 10 update to these two computers last week and the previous version of ReadyCLOUD for Backup and Sync on these two computers. The previous version of ReadyCLOUD (prior to 1.16.1297.525) was working just fine on the Windows 10 update. Today, my ReadyCloud App said there was a new update (1.16.1297.525) and I proceed with the ReadyCLOUD App update, however, during the install process I got the following message on both computers: "Error Opening file for writing" "Program Files (x86)\NETGEAR\Remote\Bin\Incomservice.dll" Now what do I do to get past this Error in Windows 10 and get the ReadyCLOUD to install on my two computers?7.3KViews1like12CommentsEx6200 wont extent windows 10 mobil hot spot
