Hi, I upgraded 3 days a go to Windows 10 Enterprise build 16299. It was an installation from scratch I sadly have no longer access to any of my SMB shares. Access was working on Windows 7: see image below - I tried dropping to SMB1 in SMB Application + reboot both PC and NAS: no success - I disabled IPV6 under LAN adapter in Windows 10: no success - I enabled every sharing option under Windows 10 for both Private and Public networks: no success Using cmd in admin console to map the network share: net use * /delete net use t: \\nas-ip-address\data /user:admin nas-admin-password Under the shell cmd, I have access to the shares and their listing through drive T: However, it is wired that Explorer GUI cannot access to the T: drive. So I still cannot see my shares in GUI Under Explorer, I can see the NAS: - under "Media Devices", and brows the DLNA folders - under "Storage", double clicking brings the NAS web admin GUI - under "Computer", named correctly "NAS-01": but if I try to access the shares it gives me a "Network access error" I attach above the image with my error Please help me fix this asap, I am lost and really need the SMB access to manage my backupsSolved43KViews0likes5CommentsA6210 Wireless Adapter Keeps Disconnecting
Every 30-40 minutes or so, my A6210 wireless adapter is connected to the router, but not the Internet. This is for around 2-3 minutes before the adapter connects back to the Internet. How do I fix this issue? I constantly get disconnected from any online games I'm in and it sucks. During this 2-3 minute period, the Internet on my other devices works fine, but not on this PC. I'm also using WIndows 10 and have the latest firmware of Netgear Genie, 1.0.0.34.Solved26KViews0likes6CommentsC6300 and Windows 10 disconnects frequently
Never had a problem with my Windows 7 installation. Since upgrading to Windows 10, the internet disconnects several times a day. Usually fixes itself when I run diagnostics, but must reboot from a cold shutdown sometimes. usually says "local area connection adapter has disconnected" and sometimes "disconnected from gateway, not available". Sometimes it says "local area connection adapter disabled". I can always fix it somehow, but very annoying to happen several times a day.Solved17KViews0likes9CommentsHow do I disable NETGEAR Genie from starting?
When I first used my cable modem and went to http://192.168.01 I arrived at a bare-bones setup (no web-based Genie). Then I downloaded/installed Genie. After a few days I decided I wanted to return to the original setup. I uninstalled Genie but now I get the web-based Genie. Nothing I do seems to prevent it from starting. I tried re-installing Genie but after the second install Genie crashes immediately, won't start, so I uninstalled it again. I've reset my cable modem to factory settings and the web-based Genie still starts. What do I have to do to return to the out-of-the-box setup? I've searched the Community here for 2 days and I can't find a solution so I apologized if I've started an unnecessary thread. I have the AC1900, C6300BD from my ISP (Cox) and Windows 10.Solved15KViews0likes7CommentsEvent 10400: A6200
Hello all, I have trawled Google, tried alternate drivers ranging from signed Netgear Beta drivers to BSOD-causing chipset manufacturer drivers. After hunting down several errors in my event log, one still persists among all else. Event 10400, NDIS The network interface "NETGEAR A6200 WiFi Adapter" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset. This network interface has reset 4909 time(s) since it was last initialized. This was merely leaving the wireless adapter attached to my computer overnight. The only way that I can fix the problem of intermittent connection issues is by unplugging the adapter and plugging the adapter back in, because it's a crapshoot whether the driver will restart on its own and regain connectivity. It's baffling that the device worked with Windows 7, then I update to Windows 10 and suddenly with a new driver it goes straight down the drain in terms of performance: - Disconnects at random - No networks shown - Can only remedy quickly by unplugging and reconnecting the device Any thoughts? Oh, you can get my DxDiag information here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbq5wdg48h1thqi/DxDiag.txt?dl=0 A copy of the event is here (device reset counter still rising): https://www.dropbox.com/s/qnk3xo4ni9zfq4f/Event%2010400.txt?dl=013KViews0likes20CommentsCannot create new folder on R7800 ReadyShare using Win 10 Explorer
For some reason I am unable to create a new folder with a unique name, or rename an existing file or folder on any ReadyShare network share using windows exporer. I can copy existing files and folders from any of my PCs to the share, but if I try to create a new folder or rename an existing file or folder in explorer, i get an error message. If I try to create a new folder with a unique name, say "Temp," I get the following error message: If I hit cancel then a new folder appears on the share as "New Folder." If I try to rename the "New Folder" to some other name, I get the same error message. I I try to rename an existing folder on the share, say change "\\ReadyShare\USB_Storage\Backups" to "Old Backups," I get a similar error message: Like I said, I have no problems copying existing files from my PCs to a share using windows explorer or creating new files using other apps, e.g. Word, Excel, etc. I can also delete existing files from the share using explorer. I have tried this with several different USB storage devices and I get the same behavior. For some reason it seems like the name changing process in explorer cannot find the file/folder that is being renamed. I have been working around this issue by creating new folders on my PC and then dragging them to the share but this seems like a strange way to have to do it! I am using an R7800 Nighthawk Router with the latest firmware V1.0.2.12. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!Solved13KViews2likes35CommentsAT&T Beam / Aircard 340U not recognized by Ultrabook PC (Windows 10)
MY 340U is not recognized by my machine when inserted. It appears as though it is stuck in some kind of constant restart loop - The AT&T logo will appear of its screen for a couple seconds, then go blank, then the logo appears agian, then it goes blank agian, etc. I have a Dell 9350 (XPS 15) Ultrabook that I purchased from Dell Outlet less than a year ago. I upgraded the OS from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 the second day I had the machine. I have updated the system BIOS and all drivers to the latest versions. I also have a Netgear AC340U (AT&T Beam) that I recently purchased from AT&T. I have updated the Firmware to the latest version available from Netgear at this site: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26983/~/aircard-340u-(at%26t-beam)-downloads-and-documentation I had to use a different laptop to do this- Yes, The 340U seems to work just fine on 3 other PC's in my house; just not this one. Thinking this must be a Dell issue, I contacted Dell Tech Support. After remotely connecting to my PC and re-installing all the same drivers I already had, they had me perform a few tests: I plugged in a 1.5TB external USB 3 HDD - It worked just fine. I plugged in a small 8GB flash drive - It worked just fine. I plugged in my iPhone 6Plus - It worked just fine. I plugged in an old AC313U - It worked just fine. I plugged in the 340U - It did what it always does on this machine: Nothing. The Dell technician suggested I contact AT&T or Netgear to see if they could help. AT&T Tech support is a joke - They told me that I needed to contact Dell or Netgear. Netgear support told me that it sounded like a Dell issue and they would not help me becuase I purchased the device from AT&T. So nobody wants to help and apparently Customer Service in general died a long time ago! :( I did some more googling and found this community. I read a couple other posts regarding the 340U (& 341U) where some folks were having similar experiences with an HP Ultrabook and a MS Surface Book. So, now I am thinking this really is an issue with the 340U and that it might just not be getting enough power to start up properly. In one of those other posts (which was closed), the poster seemed work around the issue by using a powered USB hub, or a cable that allows the device to draw power from two USB ports, instead of just one. The other person with the MS Surface Book issue did not yet seem to find a resolution. I wat to see if there are any other folks out there with this device (340U or 341U) having issues or requiring some work-arounds to get it to work on an ultrabook. Please add comments below. Any help would be appreciated.SolvedA6200 Dead Since Win 10 Upgrade
Your newest, supposedly Win 10 compatible driver, is not Win 10 compatible. My A6200 adapter was working fine until I upgraded to Win 10. Now it is completely dead. The firmware is updated, and I have tried all Win compatibility options. I have tried all A6200 drivers. I have even tried the A6210 driver as recommended by a member of this forum. The blue connect light never illuminates. I have used the standalone and non drivers. Nothing works. Numerous others are having the same problem in this forum. When are you going to provide a driver that actually works with Win 10? Also, why would you release a Win 10 driver when it is obviously not compatible with Win 10? My confidence in Netgear products is at an all time low!9.6KViews5likes9CommentsProblem with RAIDar 6.1 and Windows 10
