Windows 10
17 TopicsAfter recent Windows 10 update, I can't log in to Genie app
I recently got a new build of Windows 10 and Genie app no longer worked. Prompt said it was incompatable. I uninstalled the app with a utility that removed all evidence of the prior version (Revo Uninstall) and downloaded v2.4.44. Everything came up fine but I tried to get to my guest settings on my R6210, my log in failed (wrong password) using admin and "password". I removed the app again, did a factory reset router (disabled modem, held router reset button for more than 10 seconds, and updated Router firmware) which I felt would give me the ultimate start from scratch point. Again, when I got to my guest settings the login failed again (wrong password). Is there a way to reset the passwrd in the genie app? I tried using all of my other Netgear 'MyNETGEAR' account credentials and my router access access and Password information and I just simply get into the router settings without using the 198.162.1.1 address through my browser. I really appreciated the ease of using the Genie app to make changes as needed. I'm very good at electronics, but not so good at the software end of things and this is driving me nuts. Can anybody help?4.3KViews0likes7CommentsEx6200 wont extent windows 10 mobil hot spot

I am so frustrated. I have a laptop running windows 10 and I can see the netgear router and I am putting in the correct password but my laptop continues to say it cannot connect to the network. Can anyone tell me what to do to fix this problem and explain it in simple step by step processes? I am a novice.Solved3.3KViews0likes4CommentsA6210 Windows 10 Airplane Mode
Hey, I was using my A6210 with Genie 10.0.0.34 on a Windows 10 PC when the device started disconnecting repeatedly within minutes, then seconds. I uninstalled Genie, got the 10.0.0.35 install, and then found Airplane mode was stuck ON. I went through the solutions on the internet, short of the registry edit procedure. Nothing worked. I deinstalled/reinstalled a few times and now the WiFi is working again, with airplane mode still ON?! However, Genie does not recognize that the A6210 is installed. Device Manager shows "802.11ac Wireless Lan Card" with driver provider Netgear, 4/21/2015, v5.1.22.0. Any clues to getting Genie working? As I said, I have connectivity through this adapter. For some reason I am unable to create a new folder with a unique name, or rename an existing file or folder on any ReadyShare network share using windows exporer. I can copy existing files and folders from any of my PCs to the share, but if I try to create a new folder or rename an existing file or folder in explorer, i get an error message. If I try to create a new folder with a unique name, say "Temp," I get the following error message: If I hit cancel then a new folder appears on the share as "New Folder." If I try to rename the "New Folder" to some other name, I get the same error message. I I try to rename an existing folder on the share, say change "\\ReadyShare\USB_Storage\Backups" to "Old Backups," I get a similar error message: Like I said, I have no problems copying existing files from my PCs to a share using windows explorer or creating new files using other apps, e.g. Word, Excel, etc. I can also delete existing files from the share using explorer. I have tried this with several different USB storage devices and I get the same behavior. For some reason it seems like the name changing process in explorer cannot find the file/folder that is being renamed. I have been working around this issue by creating new folders on my PC and then dragging them to the share but this seems like a strange way to have to do it! I am using an R7800 Nighthawk Router with the latest firmware V1.0.2.12. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!Solved13KViews2likes35CommentsAC1200 randomly disconnecting
I'm about at my wits end with this USB adapter, for the last number of days since I picked it up. Pretty much from day 1 it's been randomly disconnecting from my internet, it's still connected to my usb but it refuses to connect to any wifi signal, unplugging it doesn't work, resetting my computer doesn't work, and when it does it lasts about a whole 5 minutes before it's back to square one. I've uninstalled everything for it then reinstalled it. I've used the cd download, and the download on this website but still nothing is working. I'm running on windows 10 and see a lot of these problems come from people using windows 10. Is there any fix for this? These things aren't cheap and to have it not work is infuriating. So i have this Wifi USB adapter now since November 2015. My concern is, when i play games which need internet to play, then my Wifi stick Turns off and i loose connection. Soon after that it connects by it self and its working for maybe 10 minutes then the same problem happens. I installed the newest driver but that did not help and i tried different usb ports. I use my 5Ghz wifi since the 2.4 is too slow. Does anybody have seme issues or can maybe halp me with this problem?6.9KViews0likes16CommentsHelp! WN3000RP range extender no longer connects since Windows 10
Hi All, I have found other posts on this community and the Microsoft community with users struggling to understand why their extenders no longer work. I took advantage of the free Win 10 upgrade but now am very frustrated that I can no longer connect to the my range extender. I have already: ensured the latest firmware is installed, shut off anti-virus protection and completed reboots of both my Netgear wireless router and extender. I'm out of options. Others must fill this pain. It makes no sense to me that this device (Lenovo Laptop) can connect to the wireless router but not the extender with the exact same info. I've completed all the obvious trouble shooting and different combinations of logging on. I am eager to hear another idea of how to solve this without giving up and buying a new extender. Hello all, I have trawled Google, tried alternate drivers ranging from signed Netgear Beta drivers to BSOD-causing chipset manufacturer drivers. After hunting down several errors in my event log, one still persists among all else. Event 10400, NDIS The network interface "NETGEAR A6200 WiFi Adapter" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset. This network interface has reset 4909 time(s) since it was last initialized. This was merely leaving the wireless adapter attached to my computer overnight. The only way that I can fix the problem of intermittent connection issues is by unplugging the adapter and plugging the adapter back in, because it's a crapshoot whether the driver will restart on its own and regain connectivity. It's baffling that the device worked with Windows 7, then I update to Windows 10 and suddenly with a new driver it goes straight down the drain in terms of performance: - Disconnects at random - No networks shown - Can only remedy quickly by unplugging and reconnecting the device Any thoughts? Oh, you can get my DxDiag information here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbq5wdg48h1thqi/DxDiag.txt?dl=0 A copy of the event is here (device reset counter still rising): https://www.dropbox.com/s/qnk3xo4ni9zfq4f/Event%2010400.txt?dl=013KViews0likes20Comments
