Hardware Version: WN3000RPv3 Firmware Version: V1.0.2.24 Howdy, My WiFi extender is only seeing 2G networks (including mine) when I go through a fresh setup via http://www.mywifiext.com/. But I'm trying to connect to my 5G network, like I do with several other devices. The setup process doesn't show any 5G networks. My router is broadcasting the 5G network name and has these settings: Mode: 802.11 n/ac Transmit Power: 100% Channel Selection: Automatic Channel: n/a Channel Bandwidth: 20/40/80(auto) Is this extender not 5G compatible? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!Solved39KViews0likes2CommentsAT&T Uverse Pace 5268AC in DMZ+ With Orbi ... help please
So I've been struggling with this for about two weeks now. I want to be able to use Orbi as my router with my ATT suplied Pace box because the Pace doesn't support UPnp or NAT lookup (or so people say) . I run a plex media server out of my house and need to be able to access it which didn't work just trying to use the supplied gateway and putting my orbi in AP mode. Also I like to use Nvidia shield streaming to connect to my gaming PC from outside of my house and I also can't do that with orbi in AP mode and using the supplied Pace gateway in none DMZ+ mode. So here's where I'm at: For the most part serfing the internet seems to work Sometimes it seems like web pages can't resolve connections but If i hit the refresh button a couple of times it will load the web page Plex seems to work outside of my house which is good Nvidia streaming DOESN'T work outside of my house even though I've forwarded the correct ports My roku specifically (I have two of them that have the same issue) seems to have a horrible time connecting to any channel both wired or streaming. I think it's having a hard time connecting to the roku servers in order to load a specific channel. Here's how I have things set up: Turned off the wifi on the Pace gateway Turned on DMZ+ mode for my orbi that's hooked to the first ethernet port on my Pace Gateway Public IP address is being passed to my Orbi router Orbi router is on the same subnet mask but a different IP range (10.0.0.x) and the Pace is on (192.168.1.x) Orbi router is set to DHCP mode updated the orbi firmware to the latest I'm really struggling here. There are a lot of really advanced settings on the Orbi that I think might be causing some issues but I don't know what they do even after googling and I'm not sure where I'm gong wrong. Can someone please save my life here. The thing that's most concering to me is that it seems to have issues making some connections at all (like my roku) this isn't just Orbi btw. I have done this exact same setup with an airport extreme and I had the exact same issue.N300 keeps disconnecting
Hey guys, I've set up my router as an access point for my house. It works for 12 to 24 hours but then disconnects from my modem. I've been searching for days but coudn't find the issue. Maybe some of you have an answer? My router is running the latest firmware and is connected to the modem via a powerline model PL1000.SolvedMajor Failures After Firmware 2.0.0.74 Upgrade!
ORBI firmware version 2.0.0.74 is failing! I have used the ORBI RBK50 system since Apr 2017. While running the 1.xx.xx firmware, the conection was incredibly reliable & fast. I had max speeds from all my devices: several PCs running Windows 10, & an iMac running Sierra (10.12)[High Sierra (10.13) since Sep 25th]. I had reliably uploaded/downloaded hundreds of GB of data each month. This included successful backups to Crashplan & later IDrive. I was very happy with my ORBI. On Oct 1st, I updated my firmware to version 2.0.0.74. By Oct 2nd, I began having significant connectivity problems. Since then, I have tried several suggestions from another thread but the failures continued. Today, I performed the following steps: Factory reset all devices (router & 2 satellites) Performed initial installation Changed satellite names to Satellite-1 & Satellite-2 Rebooted xfinity router Rebooted ORBI router Restarted IDrive backup The connection is still failing! I am lucky to backup a handful of files before IDrive reports a dropped connection! I am not happy. I feel NETGEAR caused this problem with the 2.0.0.74 update. I will be very pissed if I have to pay for premium support to solve this problem!SolvedNETGEAR A6210 WiFi USB3.0 Adapter Connection Speed Still 54Mb/s Argggh!
I have installed software version 1.0.0.36 as recommended on this forum, I have set the USB Speed to 3.0 in the Advanced tab, I have disabled the NetgearUSBSwitch process from Start-up, and probably a few other things too which escape me at this hour, but I still only get a slow 54Mb/s connection speed. After the installation of the software v1.0.0.36 the connection speed did go up to 144Mb/s and all was good, but the next start up of my PC and all back as it was. Any suggestion would be gratefully received as I'm just about to purchase another manufacturers Wi-Fi Adapter. Thanks in advance.Solved11KViews0likes5CommentsLinking Xbox One Wired Connection NAT issues
Hello! I have a NETGEAR Genie R6400 wireless router. I have hooked up my Xbox One in the past when I first purchased this router and I had this same issue. When the Xbox is wired directly to the router with all current settings the NAT type on the console is strict and "behind a port-preserving port-symmetric NAT". When I had this issue about a year ago, I contacted Xbox support, who led me through a series of options. These options ended up with me setting a static IP for the console, forwarding a number of ports, turning off UPnP, disabling SIP ALG and setting it to "open NAT," and establishing a DMZ to my consoles static IP. These settings all fixed the issue I was having. However, recently my router was reset to factory settings by another family member and now these settings are not fixing the issue. I contacted Xbox support and they walked me through some steps but none were successful. I'm curious if I need to completely redo the process? All my previous settings were still present, such as my static IP and the DMZ. I had to re-forward all the ports but I just forwarded them to the previously saved static IP. Could this be the issue I'm having? Or are there other settings I should be looking at? What setting should be changed or needed to wire my Xbox One directly to the router so the NAT type is open and I'm getting the most out of my router for bandwidth and gaming. Any and all responses and help is appreciated, thank you.11KViews0likes7CommentsR6100, I keep losing IPV6 connectivity
Greetings Gear Group :manindifferent: Running Windows 10 Pro 64bit 1607... I just noticed this 2 or 3 weeks ago. My Samsung Galaxy S6 Always had a link speed of 867 Mbps. One day it was slow on wifi, and the link speed was 585. So I kept checking it and it got as low as 110 Mbps! I'm po'd. I restarted my phone, shutdown wifi, FORGOT the network, and it helped for a bit but then the link speed started dropping again. Then I started checking the link speed on my laptop. It was also usually 867 Mbps, and it was dropping - just not nearly as bad as my phone. So I found a place in laptop wifi adapter where it gave details. I hadn't known about before. It tells you about IPV4 and IPV6 whether it has Network Access, Internet Access, or No access. And several times I checked and it had no IPV6 Internet connection. Pictures to demonstrate. FYI, I've disabled, even uninstalled my wifi adapter on laptop, made sure drivers were current, had several post with Intel support to tell me if it could be the adapter. It's an Intel Dual-Band AC 7265, one of their better wifi adapters. Well, I'm noticing the same problem on my desktop Ethernet adapter. It's a Realtek Gigabit adapter. So I'm definitely inclined to think it's the router. I've rebooted it, reset it, changed channels, checked firmware - don't know what else to try. I've included a screenshot of the IPV6 seup screen from Netgear. And I've included the 2 screens from my ethernet adapter that show the IPV6 has no Internet connection. Notice the red arrows on the Network Connection Details. There is no IPV4 WINS Server, and no IPV6 DNS server. What is the WINS Server? I guess it's not important, since I have a connection. And why doesn't the IPV6 have a WINS Server?? Just curious.... Thanks for any help.Solved9.7KViews0likes6Commentsreestablishing SMB-Connections lasts up to 30 minutes
Hi, I've a 314 NAS (mounted as drive M:\) behind a HP-Procurve-Switch, for some reasons (ransomwareprotection) I disconnect that certain switch port by snmp-command - thats no problem. Later then I reestablish that connection - switching that certain switch-port on. Then it lasts between 10 and 30 minutes, till I can access the NAS by drive-Letter which is M:\. Interesting is, that after switching the Procurve-Switchport on, I can access that NAS Admin-Page immediatelly, but why not the drive M: which is connected via SMB to my Windows system. Whats the reason for that behaviour and/or is there configuration to improve - shorten that time afer switching port on an ability to connect to M:\ - the situation ? Most every day when I go to use my desktop with windows 10, I have loss connection to my router. My router is an X6 R8000 and I have loaded the latest firmware through the Net Genie. If I disconnect and reconnect everything is fine. I have not noticed this on my other devices. Mainly phones, but they would switch to cellular if wifi was not working and I may not notice. In the Netgear Genie it states to "right click on the network" I cannot even locate where to do this. THanks for any help.Solved6.9KViews0likes16CommentsLosing Wireless Connectivity
Hello guys, So basically the first few days the Orbi system worked just fine. But now I'm losing the connection every 1/2 hrs. I'm connected via Lan-Cable to my PS4. I don't know if it has something to do with my issue but when I was only using the laptop and my iPhone everything worked fine. I did not change any settings etc. Once I lose connection the router is pulsing white and sometimes it's just solid white. Then it turns blue and everything works again. Any ideas how I could solve this? I don't want my router to lose connection. Especially when I'm playing online games.
