Hey guys, I've set up my router as an access point for my house. It works for 12 to 24 hours but then disconnects from my modem. I've been searching for days but coudn't find the issue. Maybe some of you have an answer? My router is running the latest firmware and is connected to the modem via a powerline model PL1000.SolvedMy PS4 will connect to my N750 router and the internet, but can't use PSN.
I am having an issue with my WNDR4300 N750 WiFi Dual Band Gigabit Router running on firmware version V1.0.0.32. It would seem that this router is cutting off connections with the Playstation Network. Having used a previous router and everything working fine, after the installation of the new router, PSN on my PS4 and the PS App on my phone cannot connect. After having been through several calls with both the PS support and my ISP support, I am hoping to find some solutions here. The easiest solution to me at the moment is to simply buy a new router, but I would prefer being able to use this one. Hope someone can help with this issue!SolvedChanged password, laptop does not connect to WIFI
I changed my password for routeras my new security system told me it was weak. On NetGear Genie, all looks like it is working. I connected my Android Nook by inserting new password and it is fine. But my husband's Asus laptop/Windows 7 will not connect. I have tried rebooting the modem and router along with my iMac OS X 10.11.6. I have gone into Internet Controls on Windows 7, readded SSID with the new password; that did not work. I have rebooted his computer...nothing. I am not afraid to tackle this stuff and will stick to it until it is done, but I am in need of help. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, LindaSolvedR6100, I keep losing IPV6 connectivity
Greetings Gear Group :manindifferent: Running Windows 10 Pro 64bit 1607... I just noticed this 2 or 3 weeks ago. My Samsung Galaxy S6 Always had a link speed of 867 Mbps. One day it was slow on wifi, and the link speed was 585. So I kept checking it and it got as low as 110 Mbps! I'm po'd. I restarted my phone, shutdown wifi, FORGOT the network, and it helped for a bit but then the link speed started dropping again. Then I started checking the link speed on my laptop. It was also usually 867 Mbps, and it was dropping - just not nearly as bad as my phone. So I found a place in laptop wifi adapter where it gave details. I hadn't known about before. It tells you about IPV4 and IPV6 whether it has Network Access, Internet Access, or No access. And several times I checked and it had no IPV6 Internet connection. Pictures to demonstrate. FYI, I've disabled, even uninstalled my wifi adapter on laptop, made sure drivers were current, had several post with Intel support to tell me if it could be the adapter. It's an Intel Dual-Band AC 7265, one of their better wifi adapters. Well, I'm noticing the same problem on my desktop Ethernet adapter. It's a Realtek Gigabit adapter. So I'm definitely inclined to think it's the router. I've rebooted it, reset it, changed channels, checked firmware - don't know what else to try. I've included a screenshot of the IPV6 seup screen from Netgear. And I've included the 2 screens from my ethernet adapter that show the IPV6 has no Internet connection. Notice the red arrows on the Network Connection Details. There is no IPV4 WINS Server, and no IPV6 DNS server. What is the WINS Server? I guess it's not important, since I have a connection. And why doesn't the IPV6 have a WINS Server?? Just curious.... Thanks for any help.Solved9.7KViews0likes6CommentsR6300 Ethernet slow connection
This router has worked great for the past three years. I have a new ISP (Grande Communications) getting 400 Mbps and now all of a sudden the Ethernet ports out of the 6300 router are almost half of what comes out of the modem (Arris DG2470). I've tried all of the router ethernet ports with the same result. I updated the router with the latest firmware three days ago. Tried two new cat 6 cables from the modem to the router and PC. I've tested on multiple computers with the same results. Yet still only get around 180+ Mbps wired out of the router, but am getting 400+ out of the modem. Cat6 from modem to router is six feet. There is only one ethernet cable out of the router plus no active wireless devices devices when I test. The wireless on the Arris modem is disabled so there is no conflict. I would prefer sticking with a seperate wireless instead of using the wireless on the Arris modem. Plus I use OPEN DNS for family site filterning. (I did a test disabling OPEN DNS with both Google DNS and ISP DNS servers with same results. I also have two TIVO mini, but they are using the MoCA connection off the modem (not wifi). The Internet and cable TV come into the house on two seperate feeds. Grande recently installed fiber in my neighborhood, that's why I left Time Warner who only offered 50Mbps. Many time the wireless speed is faster than the wired ethernet. Go figure. I haven't called the cable company yet as they do not support seperate routers. I suppose I could use their wireless (built into the modem) but prefer having more control over my network. I'm at a loss as to why this problem occured and need advice on other options to troubleshoot. Thank you in advance for your comments.Solved
