Hello all. This is regarding my R6400 WiFi Router with the most recent firmware (V1.0.1.34_1.0.24). For a long time now my ethernet cable connection from Router to desktop PC (windows 10 64) has disconnected briefely every half hour or so (sometimes more sometimes less it's hard to gauge). I would say it goes out for about 10 seconds then returns. I see a little red X over the internet symbol in the taskbar when this happens so it's definitely going down for whatever reason. It's not the worst problem one can have, but sometimes I play online poker and it can make a huge difference there when in a big pot happening. I really can't risk it anymore and need to solve this. I tried switching which port the cable is plugged into but got the same problem. Any ideas? I guess I could buy another wireless adaptor if I can't solve this since our wireless connections never drop, but I'd rather not have to shell out money when the ethernet connection SHOULD work. Thanks everyone!SolvedCM1000 + Orbi (RBK50) on Xfinity - Constant Disconnects
Hello there, I am having similar problems to ones on this board - Constant disconnects on the Orbi platform with a CM1000 modem on Xfinity. A Comcast tech has been by, checked the levels and left saying everything's fine with the incoming line. It works great when it does ( Blast tier - ~200 - 250 Mbps) but the disconnects are getting out of hand. They last a few seconds at a time to ~6 minutes at a time (most common) if left unattended - Rebooting the modem/router fixes it in a minute and a half (even that's not consistent of late). Details: CM1000 Hardware Version 2.02 Firmware Version V3.01.04 Orbi RBK50 Router Firmware Version V2.1.1.16 uPnP OFF,Daisy Chaining Disabled, MU-MIMO and Implicit Beamforming Enabled, Fast Roaming Disabled I am attaching logs and event logs from the modem and router if at all it helps nailing the problem(s). Please let me know what else I can do before returning either/both modem and router.1.2KViews0likes1CommentOrbi Dropping VPN Connection
I recently setup the Orbi in my home and I am experiencing frequent VPN drops on my work computer. I am using the Cisco AnyConnect software for the VPN login. I am assuming that the Orbi may be attempting to connect back and forth between the 2.4 and 5 ghz connections causing the VPN connection to drop. Has anyone else experienced this and what can I do to resolve? I am not a networking expert by any means, and my setup was completed based on the base Orbi settings. This is severely impacting my ability to work efficiently from home. Thanks!RBK43 Internet Disconnects and Client Disconnects
Hello everyone, Im a new Orbi owner and have been overall pleased with the system. I have been getting somewhat frequent disconnects from internet and from wifi in general. My Roku's disconnect as do my sat's and anything connected to them. I am on the latest Firmware (2.x). Im using the Router in AP mode as I have a Meraki Security Gateway in front of it. When it works its fast but my wife and kids are constantly telling me their devices are disconnecting or they cant get out to the internet. My main PC is wired through another switch and plugged into the Secure Gateway so i know the internet is working :) Thanks, CypherstrengthReadyNAS 312 6.6.1 systemd-journal log
I see a lot of these style entires: * apache2[19277]: [warn] [client 192.168.1.118] mod_auth_token: SHM capacity FULL. Shift memory to fit one more token. ts_end 320f83f8" * in the systemd-journal log file. Is this a 'thing' to be concerned about? Yes, we are having some behavioural issues with this box (losing Readycloud app access via the VPN, the device showing "offline" in readycloud portal occasionally and the the NAS suddently being inaccessible locally which seems to crash Mac OS X FInder. Restarting Finder reconnects and it is OK again. We don't know if it is a local LAN problem. The device has 2 LAN sockets. Only one is connected, should we connect both or just try the other one for a while? Is there a log file that would indicate 'Network' connection errors? The standard web interface errors do not show any erros or warnings of this type at all. we have a case request out with Netgear support but I know that some of you are superb with these things. Thanks, Andy.3.4KViews0likes2CommentsN450 CG3000Dv2 dropping wired and wireless connection repeatedly
A few days ago I started losing my connection from my N450 CG3000Dv2 modem/router. This occurs on both a hard-wired (gigabit) connection to the router and on other devices connected wirelessly. I contacted Comcast support the first time this happened and they sent refresh signals to the router (which hasn't helped). On the next call to Comcast, they said everything looked good on their end and that I'd need to contact Netgear. Is there any diagnostic I can run locally in order to determine if the router itself is failing? It's not quite 3 years old, but I've had routers before that dropped connections like this and I'm not sure if they lasted more than 3 years either. thanks, Matt4.3KViews0likes7CommentsEvent 10400: A6200
Hello all, I have trawled Google, tried alternate drivers ranging from signed Netgear Beta drivers to BSOD-causing chipset manufacturer drivers. After hunting down several errors in my event log, one still persists among all else. Event 10400, NDIS The network interface "NETGEAR A6200 WiFi Adapter" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset. This network interface has reset 4909 time(s) since it was last initialized. This was merely leaving the wireless adapter attached to my computer overnight. The only way that I can fix the problem of intermittent connection issues is by unplugging the adapter and plugging the adapter back in, because it's a crapshoot whether the driver will restart on its own and regain connectivity. It's baffling that the device worked with Windows 7, then I update to Windows 10 and suddenly with a new driver it goes straight down the drain in terms of performance: - Disconnects at random - No networks shown - Can only remedy quickly by unplugging and reconnecting the device Any thoughts? Oh, you can get my DxDiag information here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbq5wdg48h1thqi/DxDiag.txt?dl=0 A copy of the event is here (device reset counter still rising): https://www.dropbox.com/s/qnk3xo4ni9zfq4f/Event%2010400.txt?dl=013KViews0likes20CommentsA6210 Wireless Adapter Keeps Disconnecting
Every 30-40 minutes or so, my A6210 wireless adapter is connected to the router, but not the Internet. This is for around 2-3 minutes before the adapter connects back to the Internet. How do I fix this issue? I constantly get disconnected from any online games I'm in and it sucks. During this 2-3 minute period, the Internet on my other devices works fine, but not on this PC. I'm also using WIndows 10 and have the latest firmware of Netgear Genie, 1.0.0.34.Solved26KViews0likes6CommentsPowerline AV500 - disconnecting and no improvement in extension
Background I live in Italy with poor Internet speed (1.5-4 Mbps). I have Vodafone ADSL/router. I installed Netgear to improve wifi reception upstairs. Downstairs I have an ethernet conmnected desktop PC. Also a couple of ipads, scanner/printer, laptop, radio that occasionally use wifi. I installed Netgear and (I think) cloned the Vodafone network so I can now see two networks. Problems. 1. I often get messages on route saying Ethernet device was disconnected. Then about 20 seconds later I get a message saying new device found and connected. I don't need to do anything. 2. On Netgear Genie panel (wifi connection), it says cannot scan wifi networks - make sure wift adapter enabled. I do not understand this as wifi does work, just not very well. 3. I have a wifi radio on the network that frequently disconnects - although ipads (for radio reception) never do. This may or may not be connected to Netgear installation. 4. The cloned netork for upstairs rarely works for long. This is a major problem as we stream UK TV programs via laptop and HDMI cable. It's possible that because of the low Internet speed, I can never improve the situation so I am considering removing Netgear completely. All thoughts welcome. Maybe once a week I lose my internet connection. After a few minutes the connection will come back. I live in a normal sized detached house. The problem used to be even worse where it would disconnect at least once per day. When that happened I had a double wall socket with the Nano plugged into 1 socket and a surge protector plugged into the other. I thought as long as you don't plug the Nano into a surge protector and instead plug it directly into the wall socket then you would be fine. Obviously not. So I now have the Nano in 1 socket and nothing in the other socket and it now only disconnects once per week but I'd like to prevent it disconnecting at all! I've tried homeplugs by other brands and have had the same problem although Netgear seems to be the most reliable with less disconnects. Years ago I had the original 1.0 homeplug technology 10 Mbps homeplugs and I NEVER had this disconnecting problem!4.3KViews0likes3Comments
