Do I need a PWM 4-pin replacement fan?
Hello, I have an NV+ (older one - I believe it uses a Sparc). I'm getting notificatinons that Fan 1 has failed. It doesn't look like it has failed - as it is still spinning, but it does show 0 rpm on the dashboard. So perhaps the sensor is gone. When I recalibrate, it comes back momentarily - but then goes back to zero. So my question - do I need a 3 or 4 pin (PWN) fan to replace this with? I believe it is a 92mm fan and i've seen the Noctua NF-B9 is a popular choice, but it comes in a standard model and a PWM model. Seeing as how the NV+ can slow down the fan speed depending on need, does it need a 4-pin PWM fan? Thanks in advance.RN102 no longer starts up following failed update to FW 6.6.0
Hi, hope someone can help. I got a notification to update my firmware which I did, it then initiated a second update which was to 6.6.0. I don't think I'd updated for some time so it had to update to an earlier version first. The second update never completed, the power light just continued to blink slowly for over an hour until I decided to restart it by removing the power. It now does the same thing, power light blinking slowly. I've tried USB updating to 6.6.0 using a memory stick that has definately worked in the past for a firmware update on this device. As the 6.6.0 udate didn't seem to complete I tried the 6.5.2 update too but no change. When trying the perform the update the lights on the RN102 flash rapidly and the USB stick shows acticity briefly then stops. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, I use this for NAS for work so I'm in a bit of a predicament! Thanks in advance for any help.Solved4.4KViews0likes2CommentsBalance failed to start for volume data

Hi, Does anyone know How I can upgrade the R7100LG - Nighthawk 4G LTE Modem Router when the upgrade to the new firmware failed using the browser? What I did: I opened the control panel of my router in a browser. On top of the site it stated there was a new firmware available so I clicked that button to start the upgrade. After 25 minutes there was no response, so I rebooted the router. Now I have a flashing / blinking power led with indicate I have a faulty firmware. I can ping my router but I am unable to open the control panel using a browser. actions taken: I downloaded both the new 1.0.0.30 and the previouw version 1.0.0.28 to install the firmware manually according this website: Reinstall the firmware on a router without the setup CD recovery tool . I can set the times it wil retry at a 20 times but it all failed stating: Unable to get response from the server. retry (20/20)... question: Does anyone know if here is any other way to upgrade the firmware other than the two methodes mentioned above? nice to know: the router was purchaged on jan. 9. 2017. so I am just out of the complementary support (90 days....)Solved3.8KViews0likes5CommentsApps operation failed. Spent $400 on this Orbi AC3000, and the past few months it seems Netgear has crippled this router, to where I can no longer trust it. Started crashing 1-2x a day a few months ago, and now anywhere from 5-10x a day with the last few firmware updates. I have so much experience and know how flashing DDWRT on most of my previous routers, so it was nice to buy the Orbi and it just worked. Sadly, that is no longer, with all the latest firmware making this Orbi Router utterly useless. I feel like just throwing this Orbi in the trash to be honest. The past few months have been to worst wifi experience I have ever, well, experienced. Do I just take the loss and move on to the ASUS, or stay in there and suffer until Netgear makes this router great again, if ever? Should I just buy the Asus AC5400 or even the Asus RoG-AC5400 and move on? What would you do?
