I am moving from 3com dummy switchs to 3 JGS524Ev2 switch's all had the older 2.0.1.26 firmware. I had windows 10 stations that were not able to use microsoft apps or update after moving most everything over to these switch's so I figured upgrading firmware would be simple I would do 1 at a time then pull the last remaining machines off the 3com switchs. When I upgraded to the newest version for these switchs (2.0.1.40) on just one switch it created a issue where I was no longer able to log in on chrome I figured no biggey. Then it kicked off everyone on the other switch I did find I had a bad ethernet cord on a connected switch and unplugged that and it seemed to settle down but that had never been a issue before. Should i revert back to the older firmware? I am worried now that I am going all in with netgear that I made a mistake as this is not confidence inspiring.SolvedC6300 IP problems
I have had this modem for a few years now and it has always worked flawlessly. Today my internet provider upgaded my service and put me on a faster internet plan. Ever since then I can not access my modem/ router and the wifi does not work. The IP listed on my network connection is different from my router IP. For some reason it seems that I am connecting to the IP from my internet provider rather than my router. I can not even access my router from the routerlogin.net. Does anyone have a fix for this issue? I don't know much about networking so I am sorry for my vague and uneducated details.850Views0likes1CommentDisaster on a readynas 314 - need advice please
Going to simplify this - essentially this is all because of the 6.9.2 update causing NAS to not boot up after update. Not happy. I had 2 x 3TB drives as RAID1 in a 4 bay NAS. I installed a new 3TB drive hoping to mirror on to this, but didnt realise when I clicked add parity it turned the 3 drives into a RAID5. Resync started. I panicked, went and bought a new 4TB drive, put it in the NAS. Was in the admin / volumes page, and was hoping to make the 4TB drive a new partition, but it was late, and I thought I had clicked the 4TB, but I had clicked the 3TB that the RAID5 was syncing on, and clicked make new volume. When I realised what I did, I literally froze in shock (this is all my research / families data, and I was trying to be safe with it). I let the resync finish, which it did, and then I thought to my self I'll shutdown the NAS. Only for it to not boot again (in hind sight I should have just copied the data to the new 4TB then and there). Nothing would boot so I did a whole lot of resetting things (but with the new 4TB drive in only, new OS). I now have a fresh 4TB single drive system and when I add in the 3 other drives they show up as red in the volumes section. So basically I feel like I have a degraded RAID5 set of 3 disks (2 of which I think should be good) that won't boot. I am considering putting back in the 3 original disks (or 2, and reinstalling the OS on them from the boot menu?) WHat are my other options? I have downlaoded the logs using raidr but only when the NAS has booted using the 4TB drive, and then I insert the other 3TB drives (and they show up red). Also are others having really odd intermittent booting issues after the 6.9.2 update. Even on the new fresh install booting (and boot menu booting) are hit and miss.] ReadyNAS need your help!2.4KViews0likes12CommentsAT&T Nighthawk M1 Issues - Using as Modem with Google OnHub Router connected to Ethernet
Hello All, I recently purchased the newly released Nighthawk M1 from AT&T (https://www.att.com/devices/netgear/nighthawk-lte-mobile-hotspot-router.html#sku=sku8550255). I am having some odd issues, however. Right now, I have the unit configured in IP Passthrough Mode (with WiFi disabled). I also have all of the DHCP and routing functions off - as I have the unit connected to a Google OnHub AP - and simply want the Nighthawk to act as a modem. For some reason, the ethernet on the Nighthawk seems to quit working every night, though - and I either have to unpug the unit and reboot or perform a factory reset. During the day, though, everything seems to work fine. The status light also blinks amber constantly. I have also removed the battery and use the wall charging unit only. Can the unit be used as I describe - as a modem with a router connected to it? Do I need to reconfigure something? Prior to purchasing the Nighthawk, I had the same setup connected to a ZTE2700A (AKA AT&T WHPI) and I never had these sorts of issues. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!SolvedNETGEAR A6210 WiFi USB3.0 Adapter Connection Speed Still 54Mb/s Argggh!
I have installed software version 1.0.0.36 as recommended on this forum, I have set the USB Speed to 3.0 in the Advanced tab, I have disabled the NetgearUSBSwitch process from Start-up, and probably a few other things too which escape me at this hour, but I still only get a slow 54Mb/s connection speed. After the installation of the software v1.0.0.36 the connection speed did go up to 144Mb/s and all was good, but the next start up of my PC and all back as it was. Any suggestion would be gratefully received as I'm just about to purchase another manufacturers Wi-Fi Adapter. Thanks in advance.Solved11KViews0likes5CommentsR6400 Weak Power, low range
Hi all I have bought the R6400 to reach all rooms in my house. Sadly, the router from the internet provider has more range and power even if it is standing a floor below. Furhter, the R6400 is unable to get through more than one room or into another floor. (Trough a wood ceiling!!, Not an army shelter) I have the Wlan power on 100 %. If I am right there are three possibilities: Either the router is defect or Netgear is promising ******* or I made a mistake. I would be thankfull if somebody know an answer. I recently bought the new Nighthawk M1 4G LTE Mobile Router in an 80GB plan from Telstra, everything works well so far, I'm getting at lowest 50mbps, -land so far at highest ~120mbps, either way I'm happy with speed - however I cannot get the port forwarding function to actually work nor UPnP. I'm trying to use it to host a server from a computer. The computer has always worked fine however I need it to work on the Nighthawk M1. I know there's nothING wrong with the computer setup or the server setup as it works normally on any other Netgear router, but it won't work now. I have tried adding the ports in the portforwarding section, I've tried enabling DMZ, and it just won't work. I'm not sure why not. ANY help or advice is definitely wanted! Thanks in advance :)Nighthawk R8000 Issues - Intermittent Disconnection and now can't login after reset to factory defau
Good morning, I have been using this Netgear Nighthawk router for quite some time and have been overall very happy with how far it will transmit signal through the house and the speed we get over the wifi. However over the past month it has been randomly having issues where it gets to a point during any part of the day where it continues to cycle and no one can connect to it consistently and if they are there is no internet. I finally called it quits this morning and decided to do a factory reset on it to try and solve the problem. However it has now created an even bigger problem. I can no longer access the login page for the router. Every time I enter in the ip address for the router it tries to take me to a website rather than the router login page and then says I am not connected to the internet. However windows thinks I am connected to the internet according to the Network and Sharing Center, though I have tried accessing other sites and I am clearly not on the internet. I have tried resetting again using the button on the back, watching the power light until it starts flashing and then releasing for the reset, but that hasn't worked either. I also read some things about running it through another router and connecting that way but it won't work etiher. If I cannot connect to it then I am going to assume it is trashed and toss it. I did try calling technical support but they wouldn't help me with it since it was out of warranty and the previous owner was an old room mate before he left the router with me. Any help would be appreciated here. The router was using Firmware Version V1.0.3.4_1.1.2Solved4.6KViews0likes5Comments
