I'm having an issue with my marantz receiver and the Orbi RBR/RBS50. The receiver is hardwired to the Orbi and is set with a static IP. If I reboot the receiver, airplay will work for a short time but then will not be visible from any devices. The only solution is to reboot the receiver again. Are there any special settings or ports that I need to enable to get this to work correctly? The receiver experienced no issues with my previous airport extreme so I know it works fine, just must be a configuration issue with the Orbi. Thank youRN3138 From linux to SMB share
Hello. I'm running a FreePBX VoiP server and I'm trying to share recorded calls directly to the ReadyNAS SMB share. The problem is that I'm constantly getting a permision denied error. I've mapped the smb share on the PBX and I'm able to create folders and even files through mkdir or nano logged as root. Unfortunately the automatic system which saves the recordings is not using a root account or privilages - it uses different user. And that's where I'm stuck and I don't really know how to make it work. I've created a username on ReadyNAS with same credentials as on the PBX and it still doesn't want to work. Does anyone know how to make it work, or should I just try to do it in a different way (maybe an rsync? FTP?). I know it sounds complicated, but the goal that I want to achive is simple - to give everyone an access to their recorded calls right after they finish the conversation, and the default location of the recorded calls is on the PBX server where only I have access (and it has to stay that way :) ). I'm aware that it's not only ReadyNAS related, but maybe someone had simillar problem (maybe not directly with PBX but with any other linux-based system). Cheers.Solved1.2KViews0likes1CommentJust set up ORBI system and cannot connect printers wirelessly
Hello, I recently switched from a Nighthawk wireless router to an ORBI system to get more coverage around my home. The ORBI has been great for extending coverage. Before switching to ORBI I had two printers an Epson WP-4540 connected wirelessly and accessable to everyone via wireless or wired connection. The second printer was a brother HL 5250DN whcih was connected via ethernet and accessable to anyone from a wireless or wird connection. Everyone is running Mac laptops, multiple iPads, iPhones and we have two wired iMac desktops. After installing ORBI no one could connect to any printers via wired or wireless connection. I had connected to brother printer to the ORBI router. The Epson was still setup as wireless. I reset epson to factory settings and I could not set it up to connect to the ORBI network as it always saw the router and satellites as separate SSID's with the same name. Tried resetting, new drivers, firmware, etc..and no luck. Finally set it up via ethernet off of a switch and I can now connect to it from my wired computers but not wireless. When attemting to connect via wireless the printer shows as offiline. The Brother printer will not connect at all either wireless or wired. The printer is seen on the network but the printer always shows as offline. Tried resetting, new firmware, drivers, etc...no luck. Finally, needed a printer that worked and disconnected ORBI and set the system back up with the old Nighthawk wireless router. I can now connect to the epson via wired or wireless. Not sure where to go from here, return the ORBI? Thanks Mikeunable to login through www [ReadyNas 104 10400]
Hello, I have following device: - ReadyNas 104 (RN104) - Operating with 6.0.X software (from what I recall) And I have following problem: - Can't IP access it: This site can’t provide a secure connection 192.168.1.3 doesn't adhere to security standards. ERR_SSL_SERVER_CERT_BAD_FORMAT - earlier I was able to see the login page, but it didn't let me in, the pswd recovery thingy didnt allow me to send a reset, and the password that I used was not accepted (kept reloading the page to show me the login box again) - now I'm still able to access it through Windows and copy forth and back things, and I can still access the admin login page from mobile browser. but. it repeats the problem with relogging the login page. What is wrong, what could be damaged and what is the possible solution for this? I feel a little bit helpless, especially now, when I need to move to a new laptop. Thanks in advance for any help. [System used: Windows 8.1] Regards, Marcin3.8KViews0likes17CommentsNot getting a strong 5ghz signal from Orbi
I have an Orbi pair with RBR50 and RBS50. The Guest wifi is booming through at 5GHz but the private wifi seems to be weak in areas. Having done some analysis it seems as though one of the units isn't transmitting the private network on 5GHZ as can be seen from the attached picture (Guest network seen at -46dB [Strong] and -78dB [Medium] but Home only seen at -77dB [Medium]). You can see that all signals are visible at 2.4GHz. Does anyone have any ideas? Yours, TomPLP 1200 not working on PC
I have just had this issue with my new PLP1200 I bought a month ago. The lower led (Pick A Plug LED) varies from On to Green but doesn't let my PC connect via ethernet. I have the other Adapter set at the Modem and this other one connected to my PC. I have tried Factory Reset, many many IpConfig solutions I have found online, but none seems to have worked. The problem solver does nothing (as always) and it still says Unidentified Network - No Internet Access1.2KViews0likes3CommentsLB1121 POE???
I submitted a support ticket over a month ago about this and still no answer/fix. The LB1121 will not restart via POE. I have used a Ubiquiti POE injector and a T-Link POE injector with the same results. Sometimes the injectors will power the divice, sometimes they won't and I get no power. I have had a LB1121 running for weeks at a time off the Ubiquiti 48v POE injector with no problem at all. If I unplug the ethernet cable and plug it back in, it will not restart. It works flawlessly off the 12v wall plug every time. But if I try to switch it to POE, nothing. After an unknown amount of time(days) of it sitting unplugged on my desk, it will all the sudden work again via POE. The entire senerio makes no sense. I can not find any patern to the problem....sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. I have already RMA'd my first unit and the replacment has the same problem. I have resorted to purchasing a 2nd LB1121 to keep as a backup for when I lose power or something. I have an extra to rotate in. They both have the same POE restart problem. Pretty annoying to say the least! That is a total of 3 LB1121 units I have had that all have the same issue. There is literally zero documentation about the POE standard used for the LB1121. Is it passive poe, is it 802.3at or af or what? Its a mistery because Netgear doesn't povide any information and their tech support has no answers. What voltage is required for the LB1121 to start via POE? How may amps does the LB1121 use? What specification are required for a POE injector that is compatible with the LB1121? Providing some detailed POE requirements for your product would probably go a long way! It seems crazy that Netgear doesn't even know what POE standard their own device uses. Its also crazy that Netgear would sell a POE device that doesn't work properly with the most common POE injectors available! Super annoying! Will we see a firmware update for the LB1121 anytime soon? a. Fix POE problems stated above. b. Fix "passthrough" mode so its not on a p2p /32 link so we can use real routers. c. More LTE band settings. It would be nice to be able to force bands, etc.Losing Wireless Connectivity
Hello guys, So basically the first few days the Orbi system worked just fine. But now I'm losing the connection every 1/2 hrs. I'm connected via Lan-Cable to my PS4. I don't know if it has something to do with my issue but when I was only using the laptop and my iPhone everything worked fine. I did not change any settings etc. Once I lose connection the router is pulsing white and sometimes it's just solid white. Then it turns blue and everything works again. Any ideas how I could solve this? I don't want my router to lose connection. Especially when I'm playing online games.Installation Problem setting up Orbi with ATT DSL
Hello, I picked up a 3 pack Orbi system from Costco today and got it home to install it and am running into issues. I was able to go through the setup procedure and everything seemed to pair fine (both satellites) but it was showing 'no internet access' so I made sure it was set to PPPoe and made sure correct username/password... and now the 4 'boxes' on the setup and advanced setup page are showing green check marks, but the internet on my devices still does not work. I have been able to successfully setup routers in the past without any sort of incident, and cannot seem to figure out what in the world is going on here. I will append some image links showing the status icons I'm seeing, but wondering if anybody has run into anything similar themselves? (The only thing I'm not entirely sure about was whether I needed to put Mac Address in manually, I left that part default, but everything else I am 99% sure is setup correctly) (Also on the internet connectivity thing it shows 1d 0min 0seconds ago) - but it doesnt count forward which makes me think its getting an ip address for just a moment but not maintaining it???) Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thank you, I will follow up to this post soon with images.SolvedReadyNAS - Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk #1,2.
Hi, I have 2 SATA 2TB drives. When I login to the NAS I get: Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk #1,2. I've double checked to ensure there are no USBs etc plugged into the machine. I've upgraded the firmware to the latest (6.7.4) The drives have re-synced however there are 2 RED HDDS showing when I look in "Volumes" I have the chance to format the drives however I don't want to as I have data on there that I can't lose When I look at the lights, there are 2 solid blue LED lights on each hard drive number.
