5 TopicsOccassional Internet Loss - RBR20
I am trying to track down a nuisance connectivity issue. I occasionally encounter loss of connection for typically a few seconds (1 - 20 seconds). Normally this wouldn't be an issue, however it's a pain when I'm connected to my work through a VPN and it drops upon a slight loss in internet. My computer is connected wirelessly to the RBR20 router. I've got two wireless satellites and one hardwired satellite. I show that there are about 20 different devices connected to the orbi system. Most are minor devices (Ring doorbell cameras, etc.). I don't have any complaint about speed (ATT fiber - 300MB). I contacted ATT and they said that there hasn't been any connection issue to their smarthub in a couple of months and supposedly they see on a second by second basis. ATT suggested that I reach out to Mesh community as they don't see a problem on their side. I downloaded an Internet Connection Monitor extension in Chrome, i've attached the log to this post. I am unsure if the connectivity is a concern without being connected to the VPN as I probably wouldn't recognize the loss of connection for a few seconds depending on what I was doing. I do occasionally run into loss of internet on smart TV's so I'm assuming that the random connection is routinely occurring. NOTE - this log would only be valid when I have my work computer connected to home network, so I'd guess that the connection concern is a whole lot worse than I am showing. Any suggestions on what to look for or settings to change? The connection shows full strength. Example of connection log pasted here:RBR 20 no internet in AP mode
I have a Netgear C7000V2 router modem and am trying to us an Orbi RBR20 as an access point. I can set it up fine and it works when the Orbi is hardwired to the C7000. As soon as I disconnect the Orbi and put it where I want, I have the ability to connect but I have no internet on the Orbi. Should the Orbi have the same SSID as the C7000 or should I it be named differently?SolvedGoogle Pixel 9 and Orbi Wi-Fi 5 issues
I've had my Orbi setup for years with little to no problems. However, for the past 2 weeks, my Google Pixel 9 Pro phone has behaved like it's on a dial-up modem connection when on my home wifi. It's fine with five other Wifi networks I use regularly, and its good with just the regular T-Mobile data connection. But it's definitely not happy with the Orbi Wifi. The last change to the Pixel was April 5th (system update) which was over a month ago, and it was fine for 2 weeks after. I've even done the Pixel 'reset network and Bluetooth settings' option to wipe the config from the phone and start fresh. On the Orbi, I've twiddled some of the advanced Wifi settings in the config but it's not changed anything. Has anyone else run into this? Any thoughts or suggestions? Other phones (iPhone, OnePlus) seem fine on the network.SolvedUnable to Access Orbi RBK23 Admin Interface (192.168.1.1 reachable but Web UI not loading)
Hello everyone, I am experiencing an issue with my Netgear Orbi RBK23 router where the admin interface is completely inaccessible, despite the device being online and reachable. Problem Symptoms: I can successfully ping the Orbi at 192.168.1.1 with stable low latency. All connected devices have internet access and are functioning properly. Attempting to access http://192.168.1.1 or http://orbilogin.com via a browser results in an endlessly loading page with no error message, just continuous loading. The admin login page does not appear. Troubleshooting Steps Taken So Far: Tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and also in Incognito or Private mode. Accessed the admin page using both http://192.168.1.1 and http://orbilogin.com. Attempted direct access using http://192.168.1.1:80 and https://192.168.1.1:443 in case ports were misbehaving. Cleared DNS cache using ipconfig /flushdns. Connected to the Orbi via wired Ethernet (LAN) instead of Wi-Fi. Disabled antivirus and firewall temporarily to rule out local blocking. Restarted the router by unplugging it from power for over 30 seconds. Attempted to access via the Orbi mobile app but no connection to admin functions is possible. Observations: The Orbi responds perfectly to ping. All connected devices have internet access. The router LEDs indicate normal operation. Question: Is there any way to restart or recover the web admin interface without performing a factory reset? Could this be related to a known issue with the Orbi's internal web server hanging? Are there advanced methods to restart services (via SSH, Telnet, etc.) or any other ideas before resorting to a full reset? Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
