I am currently using my RS700S in AP mode behind a pfSense firewall. I noticed the router is pinging 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 every 4-5 secs showing up in block alerts, more of nuisance than anything with it flooding the logs rather than any connectivity. I assume it's trying to check for an internet connection, but there needs to be a way to block/stop the RS700S when in AP mode. I assume this is not just the RS700 but other models probably doing the same as a lot of them share similar core firmware.1KViews0likes10CommentsNACH NEUSTART KEIN WLAN MEHR

I had this happen with another Netgear router and returned it and got another, but same thing. The router is constantly trying to log into my Synology NAS using usernames like "user" and "admin". I figured the first router was compromised, but I guess this vulnerability is in all their routers now? I'm getting dozens of warnings from my NAS daily and it keeps blocking my router as a suspicious device. I tried contacting Netgear but never got anything but an automated response. Hello all, I’m attempting to replace my old AC1600 WiFi router with a new RS200 WiFi 7 router. I can’t get to the internet (light under power light stays orange). I checked all the cables and have rebooted both the router and my modem multiple times. There were no apparent issues during install and the Nighthawk app and router login.net both recognize the new router but both report “no internet connection”. If I shut down everything, reconnect the old router, restart the modem and then restart the old router then everything’s fine and I’m online. Spectrum is my provider - I’m on their 400 MBPS plan. Frustrated … and looking for ideas. Thanks in advance!Solved699Views0likes4CommentsRS200 speed slows to half after a day or two
I had an Asus router that was having a problem where I'd have to reboot it every week or it would start having up to 40% packet loss. Really weird and annoying, so I replaced it last week with an RS200 and was blown away by the wifi speeds I was getting. Every device in my home really liked working with the RS200 more than the old Asus. For example, my Mac Mini M4 would only get around 350 Mbps download tops with the old router and is getting more like 850 Mbps down on the RS200. However, after a day or two of operation, all my devices drop down to around 400-450 Mbps. There is no packet loss in my tests, just slow speeds. Rebooting the router fixes it for another day or two and then it returns. So I replaced a router I have to reboot every week for a router I have to reboot every 2-3 days. I'm on the latest firmware (v1.05.22). The problem is definitely with the router and not the ISP connection since reboot returns the original expected speeds for a while. I'm also a network engineer for the ISP and I'm able to check that side of things and there is no problem. Is this a common issue with this router? Does anyone have any suggestions? I heard somewhere that enabling and then disabling QoS might temporarily solve it but that doesn't seem to help. Many thanksSolved600Views0likes10CommentsRS200 randomly disconnecting
Hello, My RS200 is currently experiencing random disconnects. It's intermittent and last maybe 30seconds - 1m. ISP: Sonic Fiber w/ their modem RS200 router since Feb 2025 w/ firmware V1.0.5.12 When it disconnects, the router leds are still active, no red leds or anything that shows loss of connection all devices (wifi and lan) disconnect I have a ping 8.8.8.8 -t running so it fails during the disconnects I have a ping 192.168.1.1 -t running also, but it continues to ping successfully Troubleshooting performed: called Sonic Fiber and they said no loss of connectivity from their side during the times of disconnects change DNS servers on router side (used google and cloudflare) latest firmware and multiple reboots of the router Router logs, not sure how to read, am i getting attacked? see attachment400Views0likes10CommentsRS 200 Anschluss in Luxembourg bei orange.lu
Hallo Community Ich habe gestern meinen RS200 RS200 – Nighthawk BE6500 WiFi 7 Dualband-Router in Betrieb genommen. Replaced router because of an EOS notice, but it refuses to recognize the Ethernet cable from the router. I can get internet access through the old router on that port, so it doesn't appear to be a hardware problem. I tried a factory reset on the new RS200, but that solved nothing. Any ideas?300Views0likes7Comments
