Orbi RBR50 dropping internet connection. Only coming back up after manually release/renew of WAN IP

My household is running on an Orbi RBR50 (firmware version 2.7.2.104) using a spectrum modem and we are experiencing a drop in our internet connection about 2 - 3 times a day. When the internet is dropped, restarting the router does not fix the issue. The only resolve that we have had so far is manually doing a WAN IP release and then renew. After about a minute, once I have done the renew, the internet will reconnect and all is well.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.

When we are having these issues with our router I can hard wire directly to the modem and there are no issues with internet connection.

tell us how long has the problem there?

tell us how you are connected, modem/router, Orbi router, etc.

We did end up contacting the ISP adn they showed that they were having issues on their end and ended up replacing our modem, which was faulty. We expect this to fix our issue.

Good to hear. Glad this was not a Orbi issue.

Lots of problems being reported.  If I say anything I get slapped around.

Check the modem first before going back.
